A Beautiful Saturday

We love spring!!!!  Beautiful weather means lunch outside!

And, an afternoon of the guys hanging together!  Clark took Walker to the driving range!

Look at that form.  Daddy said he did really well and made some good contact!

And, seriously, isn't this the cutest picture:

Such a big boy!

So, after the guys got home, Everly and I got to go out and do a little girl time, which means.... shopping!

She loved walking through Target, trying on things and touching everything!  Sorry Clark, I think I created a monster!

I love it when we make time to spend time with each child.  It's so great for them and us!

A perfect Saturday!

Blainer

We had a very special treat last week.  Blaine came to visit!  It was really fun having him in our home.  Honestly, it's very surprising that he hadn't ever been here.  He is family, after all!

While he was here, he requested a dinner party.  Blaine was a guest at many a dinner party at 1405 Egyptian Way in GP.  Mom and Ray gave fabulous parties and we always had a great time.

Ask and you shall receive!

It wasn't a fancy meal, but we had a great time.  I love that mom gave me her dining furniture.... that table has heard some stories through the years!!!!!  And, I'm thrilled to continue the "dinner party" tradition.

I'm not sure how this happened, but I didn't get any pictures of my kids with Blaine!  Silly mommy.  Blaine kept saying, "he looks just like Chris" about Walker.  I take that as a wonderful compliment!  He's the same age that Blaine and Googie were when they met.

So, you see, Blaine really is a part of our family.  Googie was with him when I was being born.  And, their friendship continued for the rest of his life.  Blaine continues to support and care for all the Snows.  His efforts with the Snowman Classic are unbelievable.

Blaine was always a second big brother to me, and that special relationship continues.  I am honored that he calls me his little sister.

Love you Blainer!

Annie Oakley(s)

Another reason for our trip to Austin.... to learn to use a handgun.  Yes, you read that right.  Mom and I really want to get a concealed handgun license, and in order to do that, you have to shoot a gun!

Enter Frosty.  He's a gun enthusiast and it turns out, he's a fantastic teacher.  Seriously, he should do it for a living.

He took mom shooting, and then he took me.  He was informative, patient and a confidence builder.

Walking into the range and going to a stall is very intimidating.  The firing of those guns goes right through you.... you feel it to the core.  Very hard to get used to.  The entire time I kept jumping and flinching.  Did I mention that Frosty was patient?

I learned a lot in a short time.  I'm no pro, but I do plan to buy a gun (Mom already bought hers!!!!) and feel confident that I can handle it.  Looking forward to shooting again soon!!!

Next Stop, Austin

After our very sweet visit with Memaw, Bunny and I took the kids to Austin to visit Frosty and Linda.  Frosty has officially become "Silly Frosty" to the kids.  They couldn't wait to get there!

We had a great evening and the kids were thrilled that Frosty grilled them some hot dogs!

And, he made corn on the cob!

That was a success!  They loved it!

Bunny wanted a picture on the bridge!  They are so cute!!!

Getting ready for bedtime.... someone wanted to play a few games on mommy's phone!

We may have let them use too many electronics....

Hey, it's vacation!  Thanks to Frosty and Linda for such a fun time!!!!!

While Daddy is Away...

...we will play!

Clark ran off to Canada this week.  So, the kids and I grabbed Bunny and ran off to Lampasas and Austin.  It was only a two day trip, but it was great!!!

First stop... to see Memaw!  It had been way too long.  I love that she got to see Walker and Everly!  And, it was very special for them to spend a little time with her.

I am loving this picture!  My sweet Memaw always makes me laugh.

We got to talk all the fun times we've had.... so sweet!

Aunt Connie is so fantastic with children.  Walker and Everly absolutely loved playing with her.  I'm so glad we got this picture of all of us!

I must brag on the kids a little.  They were so good in the car and at Memaw's house.  I'm so proud when they play well together and behave!!!  Such a great afternoon!

Everly's Prayer

I love Everly's bedtime prayers.  I have to share the one from tonight.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for Mommy and Daddy.
Thank you for Superhero and Princess (that would be Walker and Everly! Ha!).
Thank you for Bunny and RayRay and Nanna and Bubba.
Thank you for Ms. Robin, Ms. Janet and Ms. Ellie.
Thank you for Ms. Gayle.
Mommy, can I pray for the ducks? ( I told her, of course.)
Thank you for the ducks.
Mommy, can I pray for Callie?  (That's Ms. Gayle's cat, again I said, of course.)
Thank you for Callie.
AMEN.

She is so funny.  She followed up the prayer with asking if we could sing Jesus Loves Me.  So, so sweet.  It's nice to be able to have these sweet moments.  Especially at bedtime.  It makes me forget that she wouldn't mind all day long!

Big Girl Bed

So, we don't have any babies anymore.

Seriously....

Um, yes... that's my "baby" in her big girl bed.  Wow, where has time gone?!?!

She loves it!

It really is fun to have her in a big bed.  It means Mommy and Daddy have room for book time!

All in all, she did great her first night.  She didn't get out and called for me in the morning.  I would tell you that she fell out once, but I'm afraid you might call CPS on me, so I won't tell that story.

I usually make fun of people that get sad over one stage ending.  Seriously, it just means a new, better stage is to come.  BUT, I did get a little sad last night.  The crib is gone and my baby girl is just so grown up!  The good news, the sadness didn't linger and we are all excited about the next stage.... for the big girl!
