Sunday Best

The kids were thrilled to wake up on Easter morning to realize that the Easter Bunny paid them a visit!

Lots of fun snacks and activities.  Walker got a new "weather center".  He seriously wants to be a weather man when he grows up.  He loves his new tool.  He's always quick to tell us whats going outside.  I like his passion about it!

After all that excitement, we got dressed for church.  Oh my, look at this preciousness....

We had a great morning at church, and the kids were in fantastic during the service.

After church, we went to a new restaurant row and had lunch at Del Friscos Grille.  It was delicious and the kids were really good the entire time.  A sweet lady came over to us and told us how well behaved our kids are.  What a lovely compliment!  They are pretty good.... if I do say so!

After lunch, they were ready to run around.  Unfortunately for them.... it meant mommy got to take some more pictures.

Such precious little loves!!!

Happy Easter!

Easter weekend means fun egg hunts!  Thankfully, Bunny and RayRay like to hide eggs!

Bunny and RayRay also put money in the eggs.  The kids REALLY like that!

And, they have to crack some eggs on each other's heads....

Such a fun time and some fun pictures to go with it:

After all the egg hunting, it was time to dye some eggs....

They did a great job!  It was a fun filled day and they were pooped.  They even managed to sleep in the same bed that night.

Awwww, such sweeties.

A Family Valentine

Clark and I had plans to have an "after the kids go to bed" date for Valentine's Day.  But, we decided it would be more fun to have a family Valentine's!  Everly helped me decorate the table and make a few things.  Clark cooked some amazing steak and we had such a great dinner.  The kids like that I let them drink their milk out of champagne glasses!  Everly loves to set a beautiful table.  I can't imagine where she got that!

Here are ALL of my precious Valentine's:

The most handsome boy….

And, beautiful girl.

I feel confident that a new tradition was born.  Family Valentine's from now on!

Special Christmas Treat

I had this great idea that I would post this really fabulous video.  It's of Walker reciting his memory verse from December.  Did I say verse?  I meant verses.  A lot of verses!  He learned Luke 2: 7-16.

This silly website won't let me post the video because it's too big.  That makes me sad, because listening to him recite it is so fabulous!  But, I am going to put the verses on the blog so we can all remember this special Christmas treat!

Luke 2: 7-16
And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night.  And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the Glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." and suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased." When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, "Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us"  So they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph and the baby as he laid in the manger.

Skipper the Elf

The Wood house has never had an elf.  For some reason we didn't really see the need for an elf to come  here.  But, both the kids started hearing about elves.  They wanted to know why didn't have one.  So, after a lot of thought, Skipper finally showed up at our house.  But, he wasn't interested in knowing about naughty or nice.  He wanted to make sure the kids were being blessings to other.  To check to see if they were talking about Jesus and being His light.  It worked out great.  We all had fun finding out where Skipper would be next.  I'm excited that Skipper didn't show up sooner…. Six and five year olds love the magic.  Mom and Dad do to!

Here are some highlights.
