High Tea Tradition

I love a nice high tea.  I learned to love it from my mother.  And, she continues the tradition!  How fun!

Bunny has been taking Savannah to high tea for years and now Everly gets to go, too!  A special time for a grandmother and and her granddaughters.  Fun that I get to join in!

It's always fun to see the girls all dressed up.

Love my sweet girl so much!

Aren't they all the cutest!

Everly loves high tea so much that Bunny makes it a part of her birthday celebration. (Can you tell that she's excited?!)

It really is a special tradition that we all look so forward to.  Can't wait for many more high teas to come!

May Snapshots

Whew! May was BUSY!  I've decided that May is officially worse than December.  It didn't help that this entire month I was on one leg.  Yes, after 39 years of no broken bones, I decided to go and trip in the driveway and break my foot.  I haven't been able to put any weight on my left leg for six weeks.  It has been a challenge, but thankfully, it's almost over. Clark has been wonderful and I am surprised daily by the kids.  They are so helpful and have really pitched in with everything around the house!

So, here are some extra pictures...  I drove these crazies to Houston for a field trip!

Elsa and Anna helping me through the trials of being one legged!

One Sunday evening we had to take Walker to the ER!!!

Poor baby had a terrible tummy bug and got dehydrated.  He was super brave getting his IV fluids.  Thankfully, he got better quickly. But, it wasn't any fun.

A few days later, Everly got a fever.  No other symptoms, but her puppy helped her get through a sickly day.

Clark and I have found our new favorite place in the Woodlands.  Trulucks!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner.  Yes, we've been married NINE years!

Today is Bunny's birthday!  Since Walker is away at camp, Everly and I decided to take her for tea.  Turns out there is a great place in the Woodlands.  We are so happy to have found it.

Big girl is smelling some tea.

We really enjoyed it.

Such a fun tradition for the girls!

Did I mention that May was busy?  I'm looking forward to some lazy summer days! (with both legs!)

Tea Time!

Bunny and I enjoy high tea.  So much, in fact, that Bunny has taken her granddaughters to tea for years.  So, for Everly's fifth birthday, granddaughter number three got to go to her first tea! (And, luckily, I got to go, too!!!)

She was so excited and looked beautiful!

She was all smiles the whole time….

And, took it all in!

The St. Regis in Houston is great.  She got little ham and cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  She gobbled them up!

She tried tea, but opted for hot chocolate.  She was a precious little lady the entire time.  And, she got to feel very special…. the harpist played "Happy Birthday" and they brought her this cake:

I wish I had a picture of that…. she was so surprised and loved it!  Lots of people wished her happy birthday and told how cute she was.  I think she loved the attention!!!  A perfect start to her birthday celebration!

Afternoon Tea

So, this mama is lucky.  Not only did Bunny keep the kids so I could have a date night with my man, my man kept the kids so I could have afternoon tea with my mama!

It was so great.  Yummy tea, sandwiches, scones and sweet treats and an even better view!!!

It was wonderful to continue our "tea" tradition in such a beautiful spot!

A Spot of Tea

The women of our family love high tea.  It's just fun.  And lovely.  And fabulous.  So, you can imagine how wonderful it is that I have a friend from Scotland.... who serves an amazing tea!

I was so pleased that she hosted a very special tea for Carson's birthday!

Bunny loved introducing another granddaughter to high tea.

We had such a fun time and Carson really enjoyed it.  Trudi knowledge and her accent made it such a good experience!

Trudi's kids and my kids enjoy playing together, which means Everly got to "dress for tea".  So, I have to include this precious picture:

Wow, she looks so grown up.... How did that happen?!?!?
