Leaving on a Jet Plane

The Wood family is heading to the Bahamas! Yes, two babies... under two... ON A PLANE. Yikes.

The good news... my big boy is ready!



I think he works his way around the iPad better than I do.

I'm sure there will be lots and lots of pictures and maybe some good stories from our adventures. I promise to post all the best!

New Haircut!

My "little" boy officially looks like a big boy!



Yep, this is Walker's new spikey doo. I LOVE it! So fun.



I'll admit it, I was a little afraid that Daddy wasn't going to be thrilled with this new doo... But, he really liked it!



How silly I was... who couldn't like any haircut on that face!

And, I can't leave out sweet little Everly. Two new updates... first, she's officially out of the swaddle and still sleeping through the night! Second, she's in the exersaucer!



Big brother is a lot of help... he wants to make sure she knows what to do! (yes, this picture was BEFORE the haircut!)

Pumpkin Patch!

It's a beautiful fall day and the Wood babes got to spend the morning in the pumpkin patch!

It was a much better scene than last year. Walker loved running around seeing all the pumpkins and playing with all his little friends!

... TOO LATE!

Isn't that the way it always happens??? It happened in a big way tonight. Clark had just gotten home from work and he was holding Everly while Walker was being his funny self. Out of the blue, Everly started laughing HYSTERICALLY! It was so precious. She was laughing at Walker, then she laughed at me and then she laughed at her daddy. It was a loud, booming, make your stomach hurt laugh. It made us all laugh which made her laugh more. Did I say precious?

So, as soon as I could, I grabbed my phone to get a video of this adorable scene. But, of course, the moment had passed. I do have her laughing on camera, but it was much calmer than it had been. I know I've mentioned it before, but the "second child syndrome" shocks me every time. She busts out with this cute stuff and I'm just not ready for it. Honestly, it makes her "milestones" so fun because she surprises us!

Fall & Football

It's not everyday that you find friends that are interested in Mountain West football. Especially friends that don't have a TCU connection. But, that's exactly what we have with the Sorensons... and, it's so fun!

TCU played Wyoming over the weekend... it doesn't sound like the most interesting game to get pumped up about, but we do. That's because Taylor is not only a Wyoming grad, he's a former football player! So, the whole Sorenson clan came over to watch the game. I feel for Taylor. His team lost. They got shutout. But, that means... good news for my Frogs!

Okay, football aside... we had a great time with Taylor, Debra, Harrison and Jackson. Those boys are FANTASTIC with my two kids. Walker and Everly loved playing with them.





And, FINALLY, we are really enjoying the outdoor kitchen. The weather has been beautiful!





Everly loves listening to the waterfall and snuggling up to her Bunny.



And, I have to give a public shout out to my technical husband. We officially have a TV outside now!!!!!! It's a long story, but the bottom line... we didn't spend thousands of dollars and Clark got it all figured out. He's my hero!

Woohoo! I know this will be the beginning of many more fun times outside.

Mama's Girl

Everly is a mama's girl... especially at night. She gets fussy and only wants me. But, we are working on making her feel better. After several formula changes and some reflux meds, she's making major progress! This is after a "before bed" Daddy feeding!!!!



Woohoo. She drained the bottle and passed out on Daddy. So sweet!

The weather has us feeling all fallish, so Everly needs to dress the part:



And, we can leave out big brother. Walker is so sweet with Everly....



He's ready to take the little punkin to school with him!

Road Trip!

Clark had a work trip this week, so Bunny and I decided to take the kids on the road! We went to Austin and Lampasas.

Walker and Everly got to have ice cream with their cousin, Carson:

And, he got to do some coloring with Frosty:



Such a fun day and we were only halfway done with our trip. Everly got dressed up to go meet her great-grandmother for the first time.



They had a fun time in Lampasas with Memaw and Aunt Connie:





I think we wore Bunny out, but it was a fun little getaway. Everly isn't always a fan of her carseat, but overall she did great. Walker kept us entertained the whole drive home. He loves doing "touchdown" and then cheering for himself. He's much more fun than listening to the radio!
