Walker the Flirt

Walker got to see his "girlfriend" again. He and Marin had a little sushi date over the weekend.

It didn't take any time at all for Walker to start flirting.

He's pretty taken with Marin.

But, he may have eyes for an older woman. He decided to do a little flirting with Marin's momma, Robin.

He's just a social butterfly! He let Marin borrow his exersaucer and they had tons of fun playing in the floor.

We think he was giving her a few tips on how to sit up on her own!

Wow, imagine what it will be like when both of these kiddos are crawling. I'm tired just thinking about it!

Vacation is Over? Already?

Well, Clark has to go back to the office tomorrow. Boo! Walker and I have enjoyed having him with us!

It was an eventful week. Clark and I left Walker with Bunny and RayRay for one night. We had a fun night in Lake Charles and according to his grandparents, Walker didn't miss us at all! I'm glad he had fun without us!

Then we went for a fun night in Galveston as a family. Walker got to see the beach for the first time!

And, watch us eat seafood.

On the way home we decided to stop at Kemah. Walker enjoyed watching the boats and was very excited to ride the train!

All in all it was a very fun little 2-day getaway!

Yep, that's the only picture we took of all three of us!

Water Baby

Our pool baby got out and enjoyed some rays yesterday.

The best part... Jack and Brandy came to do some swimming with him!

He's still semi-indifferent to the water, but he seemed to enjoy his floaty.
The water part isn't what Walker is into... he just wants to find something to put in his mouth!

So, Walker had a great Saturday... followed by a GREAT Sunday! We tried the church nursery again, and Walker did fantastic! I'm so glad we went back.

AND, it's an especially sweet Sunday, because Clark is off work this week! Woo hoo!

Maybe He Just Misses Us

Clark, Walker and I have been visiting a few churches lately. Today we went to Crossroads Baptist. Clark and I visited there a lot before Walker was born, but today was his first time in the nursery. So, we took him in, met the people that would be taking care of him, then went off to the worship service.

But, before we left, they gave us a pager... 'just in case' they needed us.

Well, 30 minutes into the service, Clark's pocket went off. We looked at each other and thought, they must have the wrong pager!

But, we were WRONG! They did need us, because, it turns out, Walker had been crying the entire time we were gone!!!!

So, we gathered up his things and took him home.

Now I'm wondering... have we spoiled him??

I think the answer to that questions is yes... he stopped crying as soon as we picked him up.

So, what exactly do we do about that? That's a harder question to answer. But, we do plan to take him back next week for another try, and we have some new classes planned for the fall... maybe that will help.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

I think we have a little baseball fan on our hands! Bubba will be so proud!

Walker went to his first Astros game today! Afternoon baseball in the air conditioning with fantastic seats... great day.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he was paying attention:

He got very excited when the Astros had a good play... there was lots of jumping and laughing:

He started getting a little sleepy, but tried to keep up with the game:

But, after the 7th inning stretch, he gave in:

So, six months old and he's been to his first live action sporting event... honestly I'm surprised that it took that long! The good news, he continues to be the most wonderful baby, so I'm sure this Astros game will be the first of many sporting events!

Are You Ready for Your Close-Up?

Um, YES! Walker and I had a spontaneous photo session the other day. It was actually funny because Clark and I had just been talking about whether or not we wanted to get the professional photographer out here for a "six month" session.

Walker decided we didn't need her.

You see, I was about to give him a bath so I put him in his crib in just a diaper while I gathered up things. When I turned around, he was looking all cute, so I grabbed the camera. Well, for the first time, the flash didn't seem to bother him and he started posing!

I'm certainly not a professional, but we did end up with some great framers, so I thought I would share!
