Skipper the Elf

The Wood house has never had an elf.  For some reason we didn't really see the need for an elf to come  here.  But, both the kids started hearing about elves.  They wanted to know why didn't have one.  So, after a lot of thought, Skipper finally showed up at our house.  But, he wasn't interested in knowing about naughty or nice.  He wanted to make sure the kids were being blessings to other.  To check to see if they were talking about Jesus and being His light.  It worked out great.  We all had fun finding out where Skipper would be next.  I'm excited that Skipper didn't show up sooner…. Six and five year olds love the magic.  Mom and Dad do to!

Here are some highlights.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is my favorite.  Get dressed up, church, lovely meal, great family time.  What else could you ask for!??!  This year was fantastic, as usual!  Frosty and Linda and Bunny and RayRay joined us!

We got some more frame worthy pictures.

Love this of the girls:

And, the hilarious boys:

And, we used the good ole iPhone timer for a pic of all of us.  ha!

Then it was time for presents!

And, my favorite picture of the night!!  Blessed with this little family:

Merry Christmas!

Cookies for Santa

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before.  But, probably.  I would like to eventually be able to make some decent cookies.  Not sure if that will ever happen, but I'm not ready to give up… yet.  Our Christmas cookies were a disaster.  I attempted a batch from scratch while Ryder and Savannah were here.  Total fail.  So, I went to HEB, got some pillsbury and tried again…. fail.  Well, kind of fail.  We at least had something to decorate, you just couldn't tell what they were.

Next year I will be posting some beautiful Christmas cookies.  (I'm going to practice for Valentine's Day, St. Patty's, Easter, etc.)

Frame Worthy

This is a post just to show off some great pictures!  Merry Christmas!

(Yes, these two precious girl are both in leather pants!  Love it!)

Fun With Cousins

It's always special to spend time with Ryder and Savannah.  Especially at Christmas time!  They both came to stay with us and we kicked off our trip with a little bowling!

How cute are these four!

Master bowlers!

Then, when we got home, we decided to introduce Walker to the original Star Wars….

He's officially hooked.  So cool that he can like something that we liked growing up! His sister, on the other hand, not so into it…..

She tried, but fell asleep.  That meant she got good rest… bright eyed and bushy tailed the next morning!

Which is a good thing, because it was time for some presents!

Everyone seemed very happy with all their goodies.  Walker is a lego master and Everly loves her new dollhouse.

Nothing better than Christmas with family!
