Walker's Birthday Celebration

Wow, Walker had a FANTASTIC 2nd birthday. He celebrated for about four days! So, as you can imagine, I'm going to post a zillion pictures!

But, before I do, I have to say that adding Walker to our family has created the most amazing and wonderful two years of our lives. His smiles, kisses and hugs melt my heart each and every time. He is the best big brother and his baby sister adores him. He bring joy to lives of everyone who knows him! I'm so proud and lucky to call him my son!

Okay, I'm done with the sappy stuff. Here are a couple of pictures of Walker's first party, a cookie cake at school:

Mmmm,mmmm, this chocolate is YUMMY!

Now on to his officially party!

Look at my big two-year old boy:

With my girlfriend, Debra:

The party moved outside to Walker and Everly's new swingset! It was a hit.

Thank goodness for pretty weather! Walker has been loving running around in the grass. It's even more fun when you have Peepaw and a football!

Everly isn't quite big enough to play, but she had a great time watching her brother:

After everyone left, Walker took a BIG nap and then got to play with new stuff! He finally got on his new tricycle.... but, not without his blackberry!

Have I mentioned how much I love big events now that I have kids??? I loved celebrating Walker's birthday... maybe more than him!

Nighttime Entertainment

I seriously don't know where to begin. I'll just let this video speak for itself!

First of all, yes, Walker is wearing Christmas pjs. They still fit, so he still wears them. I call them "winter" pjs.

Anyway, that's Walker doing a fabulous job of entertaining his sister. Can you tell that he likes to make her laugh????

It isn't usually this much of a production, but every night Walker helps us put Everly to bed right before he goes to bed. He always makes her laugh, but tonight was quite a show!

CUTEST. THING. EVER.

Pants Optional

Everly makes me laugh. She doesn't really like pajamas. She has issues with them. Regular pjs with snaps... she somehow gets her feet up into the body of the jammies. From there, she either stays stuck or busts through the snaps.

She went through a little phase where she was waking up at 5 or 5:30 am... I do believe this was the cause. And, since Mommy isn't a fan of waking up at 5, I decided to do something. So, I bought her two-piece pjs. The verdict: the very first night, she slept until 7:30! A very positive change.

After I got over the shock of sleeping until after 7, I went to go get my sweet angel. And, you guessed it.... she had pulled her pants OFF! I couldn't help but laugh. I didn't get a picture the first time, but she's at it again...

Here's a look at her this morning:

But, after four days in a row of sleeping until 7 or later, I don't care if she sleeps naked!

Here are a couple more pictures.

My Little Techie

Walker loves electronics. Phones, remotes, iPads, tvs, etc. He is finding his own unique ways to get more technology in his day...

Yep, that's our bed and our remote. Walker has taken over. It's his new favorite thing. He climbs up into our tall bed, props the pillows, gets under the covers, finds the remote and turns on his shows. No need for Mommy and Daddy anymore!

I have to share about how sweet Walker and Everly are together. They have gotten so good at interacting together, although, Walker isn't a huge fan of Everly actually PLAYING with the toys!

It makes me proud to see them have fun together. She laughs at Walker more than any other person in the world. And, when she laughs, he laughs. There is no better sound. They bring me such joy!

So, this isn't the greatest picture in the world, but I wanted to show you....

Anytime I ask Walker to sit with Everly for a picture, he runs over, sits by her and always puts a hand on her somewhere. This time, she grabbed a hold of him, too. I know I'm biased, but I think they are darling!

Okay, one more tidbit. I took Everly for her six month check up and I was shocked to find out that she's much smaller than her brother! Walker was 16 pounds, 4 ounces at six months. Everly was 15 pounds even. And, her appointment was actually closer to seven months. These kids surprise me everyday! It always makes me excited about the day to come.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

I had to use that title. Clark loves that song.

Anyway, it is cold outside and I hate it. I'm not a fan of cold. I think I'd rather deal with a 100 degree day than a day in the 30s.

But, there is one plus from the cold weather... babies in hoodies!

Have You Heard?

The Horned Frogs won the ROSE BOWL! I am dying. Such an exciting game to end such an exciting season. The Frogs played the game of their lives and I loved every single second of it. Sooooo exciting. I'm proud of the way our guys and coach acted and very proud to call myself a Horned Frog!

I know I've mentioned it before, but when I was a junior at TCU we went 1-10 and tore down the goal posts after we won the final game of the year.... I think there were about two dozen people there. This season... undefeated, sell outs, tons of national talk and a VICTORY in the Rose Bowl. All I can say is WOW.

I'm a happy girl.

Maybe these two cuties are future Frogs!

Oh, I have to show you how we celebrated New Year's Eve.... with some real party animals!

Real party animals... they made it all the way to 7:30!
