How cool is this... Walker and Everly have already been to their first concert! They both love the Fresh Beat Band, so we couldn't resist... we took them to their concert!
Waiting patiently to go inside!
Where is Shout?! They couldn't wait for it to start....
They got cool flashlights and enjoyed them the whole show.
Sweet daddy and daughter!
"No pictures please!"
Another first, cotton candy! They both liked it!
It's funny to see their personalities shine through.... in typical fashion, Everly was crazy. She wanted to dance and scream. But, calm Walker just took everything in. He sat calmly with his eyes big and just stared and didn't miss a thing. It's amazing how different two kids can be!
After the concert, we went to Jack and Brandy's annual crawfish boil. The kids were excellent and handled the long day really well. I did have to include this picture.... it cracks me up!
I think this was their way of saying, "it's time to go!" Our day didn't finish there. When we got home, we went to our neighbors house for a little Cinco De Mayo party. Whew! That's a lot of activities for one day. I'm proud of how well behaved they were... these kids are party-going pros!

My Little Techie
Walker loves electronics. Phones, remotes, iPads, tvs, etc. He is finding his own unique ways to get more technology in his day...

Yep, that's our bed and our remote. Walker has taken over. It's his new favorite thing. He climbs up into our tall bed, props the pillows, gets under the covers, finds the remote and turns on his shows. No need for Mommy and Daddy anymore!

I have to share about how sweet Walker and Everly are together. They have gotten so good at interacting together, although, Walker isn't a huge fan of Everly actually PLAYING with the toys!
It makes me proud to see them have fun together. She laughs at Walker more than any other person in the world. And, when she laughs, he laughs. There is no better sound. They bring me such joy!
So, this isn't the greatest picture in the world, but I wanted to show you....

Anytime I ask Walker to sit with Everly for a picture, he runs over, sits by her and always puts a hand on her somewhere. This time, she grabbed a hold of him, too. I know I'm biased, but I think they are darling!
Okay, one more tidbit. I took Everly for her six month check up and I was shocked to find out that she's much smaller than her brother! Walker was 16 pounds, 4 ounces at six months. Everly was 15 pounds even. And, her appointment was actually closer to seven months. These kids surprise me everyday! It always makes me excited about the day to come.

This Isn't What I Remember
What happened to daytime TV? When I was little, I remember being so excited for school to let out for the summer because I would get to watch fun TV. Good game shows, who can forget Press Your Luck (no whammies!) and Bob Barker on The Price is Right?
And, I got introduced to Days of Our Lives at birth, so it was always exciting to get to see it every single day.
Then I went off to college and found a roomie that also watched Days, so we purposely scheduled our classes around our when Days was on, we just had to know what was going on in Salem on a daily basis. (Oh, and we always watched Cheers and Saved by the Bell reruns just to make sure we had seen every single episode at least 100 times.)
So, I've got 12 weeks off from work to hang out with Walker, but the boy sleeps a lot, so I decided to try to catch up on my daytime TV... and here's what I found out. Daytime TV is terrible.
I hadn't watched Days in a long time, but in a matter of a couple of shows I was completely caught up. And, the sad part... they just did ANOTHER baby switch. Seriously, how many times does this have to happen?
And, I'm not kidding, there is very little other than soaps or news to watch.
So, I'm very excited that Walker and I have gotten comfortable LEAVING the house, because I really can't imagine continuing to look for things to watch! Although, I did just see a very yummy looking recipe on Rachel Ray's show... spinach artichoke mac and cheese! Does she put this stuff on her website?
Okay, on to the cute stuff... here are a couple of pictures of Walker. Is three weeks too early to start thinking about hair product?
