Trick or Treat!

The Halloween parties were just the beginning.  Halloween night meant the Fall Fest at church, PLUS trick or treating.  Oh my…. such fun.

But, it all started with scary pancakes at IHOP.  Yep, scary pancakes….. they were FREE!

They thought it was very fun to decorate their breakfast!

Now it was time for the big fun.  We all got semi dressed to celebrate:

(It is possible that Walker's favorite part of Halloween was seeing Daddy dressed as a turtle!)

But, also fun, inflatables!

Here's one more family shot, just because we have it!

After the Fall Fest, it was time to trick or treat. This was our first time to really trick or treat.  And, boy oh boy, they LOVED it.  Took to it like a duck to water.  They raced up the driveways and were so excited to ring the bell and yell, "trick or treat!"

Honestly, I'm embarrassed that this is the only photo I got!  We were just so excited to watch them have such fun.  And, to bring home the mother load of candy.  Oh my.  Thankfully, the kids' dentist office took candy donations that they will send to our troops.  Awesome way to give back.

After trick or treating, we went to the Sehgals.  We got to hang out with Nicki and Suhdir, while the kids had a blast with Norah:

They had lots of fun staying up super late…. W is pretty much a zombie!

I love that we've gotten to the stage that it's okay to let them stay up late from time to time.

I know I've said it a lot recently, but I really, really, really love this stage.  Such a fun time to watch them enjoy so much fun stuff!

Halloween Parties

Okay, I'm going to admit it.  Halloween isn't my favorite holiday.  I don't hate it, but I certainly don't love it.  But, for the first time, I loved that my kids loved it!

They were so excited about their school parties.  Meet the Cupcake and Ninja Turtle:

They had some fun activities at school and I volunteered to help.  Both babes thought it was fun to have mom there!

Here's E with some of her friends from school:

And, Walker with the other turtles!!!

It was the perfect start to the fun Halloween festivities!

Pumpkin Carving

We bought some pumpkins at our P-6 Farms adventure…. so, we have to carve them, right?

Well, sort of.  Everly and Walker turned their pumpkins into Minnie and Mickey!

Seriously, those little kits are awesome.  No mess, yet they think their pumpkins are so cool!

But, Uncle Clark got the very cool job of carving Ryder's pumpkin!  He chose batman.

Honestly, the batman pumpkin looked really cool lit up!

I have to include this picture:

Yes, this is Ryder with Anna.  That dog flops over to her back anytime he is around.  She loves him and he loves her.  I think it's too cute.  If you look closely, you'll see Elsa on the ground.  No doubt, jealous of her sister's position!

Such a fun weekend with Ryder!!!!

Fall Fun

Fall is becoming a favorite time of year.  Pumpkin patches, football and lovely weather.  One way to make it even better?  Ryder coming to town for a visit!

We had a great Saturday!

P-6 Farms is big fun:

Duck races:

A corn maze:

A chance to turn these three kiddos into pumpkin heads:

Oh my gosh, I love this one (I mean, how cute are they!?!):

You can't tell, but they are on top of a dirt pile here:

And, have you ever seen a brother and sister love each other so much?:

Precious kiddos and a super fun day.

Bound to Happen

We have a five year old boy.  I'm sure he's going to have some bumps and bruises…. but, I wasn't quite ready for a black eye!!!!

Yep, our sweet Walker did a number to himself last week.  He's a bit of a restless sleeper and he got a little too crazy.  He flung himself to the bottom of the bed and hit the headboard.  He started crying and I thought it was a bad dream.  Nope, when I finally turned on the light, I saw this:

Yowzers!!!!  My goodness, it sure did look like it hurt!!!  So, of course, Clark was out of town and I didn't know what to do.  Since it was so close to his eye, I was worried, so decided to take him to the ER.  I went and got Everly out of bed and loaded them up.  As I was driving out of the neighborhood I remembered that we have a doctor across the street!  So, I sent him the picture and asked his advice. He told me not to go to the ER and let him take a look.  All is fine, just a nasty black eye!!!

Here it is Friday morning:

And, Monday night:

Doesn't seem to bother him at all!  Best part of it???  Since it's kind of green, his friends told him he looks like a Ninja Turtle!  He'll be sad when it's gone!

A Little Crush

Well, I guess this is a glimpse into our future.  Our sweet Walker is quite the ladies man.  I guess there's been a bit of drama with the girls in his class…. because they all want to be his girlfriend! ha.

One little girl, Reese, has "won" the battle for now.  According to Mrs. Fox, she sits by Walker whenever she can and likes playing with him on the playground.  This past weekend, we went to a birthday party and I got to witness Reese in action.  She walked in and lit up when she saw me…. it meant Walker was there!  I watched her search the room and when she spotted him run straight to him. It was adorable.

I'm not sure what he thinks of all the attention!

Ha!  That cracks me up.  He better get used to it.  He's too cute and sweet…. all the girls will be after him!

I also want to share some other fun pictures.  We had open house last week.

Here's Everly and Ms. Jeanne:

Today, at school, Mrs. Fox showed how cool she really is.  All the boys are OBSESSED with Ninja Turtles.  So, look at what she wore:

Pretty cool that she and Walker were twins today!  We have the BEST kindergarten teacher!  Walker adores her.

And, one more… my friend, Melanie, is running for CISD school board.  So, Everly and I hit the early voting polls to hold a sign:

I'm pretty sure this cute face helped get some votes!!!  I can't believe it's almost time for Halloween!  The fall is flying by!

Fun with the Blackburns

My mom and I love hanging with Beth Ann (Bessie) and Lee Ann.  Mom and Lee Ann have been friends for almost 40 years.  Which means Bessie and I have been friends forever… literally!

I'm so thankful that we make an effort to spend some time with them, because they are so darn fun!  We took off for a fun filled weekend in Fredricksburg.  I haven't ever spent any time there.  It was a blast!
Shopping, wine tours, good food and laughter…. what else could you ask for!

Here are some fun pictures from our wine tour!

Bessie randomly found a tour group called Cellar Rats.  Wow, we loved it!  Our guide was knowledgeable, professional and overall a blast….

And, I have to include this selfie…. this cracks me up!

Laughter is good for the soul!!!!!  I love that we all get along well and can enjoy a fun getaway.

I'm thankful to Clark for being understanding about girl getaways and to Nanna and Bubba for helping with the kids!

Can't wait for our next adventure with life-long friends!
