Bring on Christmas

We have an annual tradition of going to the Bentwater Christmas kickoff the weekend after Thanksgiving.

It means it's officially Christmastime!

Balloon animals and hats:

Seeing the snowman:

Both got to go down the snow hill "super fast!":

Daddy was off hunting (he got a deer!), so here's the three of us:

And, the babes with Bunny and RayRay:

I am very happy to tell you that neither child wanted to ride the camel!  Woohoo!  Mama was off the hook.

It was a super fun time and a great way to get into the holiday spirit!

Thanksgiving on the Farm

Thanksgiving at the farm is always a blast.  The kids always look forward to being there…. because there is always so much to do!

The bounce/slide was up and ready for them!

Then it was time for a walk down the hill to the trampoline:

And, hayride fun!

A TCU/Texas game that night meant the house was divided!

The kids were funny, wanted to cheer for both teams, so they wore purple, but added some burnt orange in their headgear:

Yay, Frogs won!  (Sorry daddy!)

I just love these pictures:

The light was beautiful and I made everyone pose for a couple more pictures!  Nanna and Bubba with all the grands is always a great picture!

Our silly puppies made their first trip to the farm.  Oh my…. I don't like that they have such freedom and don't always come when called.  Next time… they'll be on leases.

But, they did have fun playing with Chewy!

We had a great time and are looking forward to being back for Christmas!!!!

Big Boy Sleepover

Walker and his little buddy, Hudson, have been planning a sleepover for months.  Finally, their wish came true and Walker got to go spend the night at Hudson's house.

They went out for pizza:

And, had movie night with popcorn and hot chocolate.

They are such cuties!!!

Walker had a blast and had no home sickness and was thrilled to be with his friend.  And, Hudson's sweet momma sent me this:

Sound asleep!!!  What a wonderful first sleepover experience!!!!!  I'm pretty sure this was the first of many more sleepovers for these boys!

Early Thanksgiving

We got to have a special early Thanksgiving this past weekend.  Ryder came down from GP and Savannah drove over from A&M.

It was great to hang out with everyone, Walker and Everly had an especially fabulous time.  They love their cousins!

We ate good food and had some laughs.  Much needed for this group!!!

Ryder stayed for a couple of days and we got to go to a movie, play outside and watch sports together.  We love it when he is here.  Can't wait for him to come back!!!!

Thanksgiving Programs

Two days, two programs, one indian, one pilgrim.  School is so fun!

Walker's program was first.  He was adorable, as usual.

They sang some songs and then, at the end, each kindergardener took the microphone and said what they were thankful for.  This sweet boy's answer, "I am thankful for my sister."  Awwww!  So glad I pulled her out of class to come watch!

Glad we got a group pic!

The next day, we showed up again to see our little pilgrim!

She was so animated and sang her little heart out!  So precious.

And, one more time, a group pic:

We love, love, love PDS.  What a wonderful school! Our babes are learning so much and growing up so quickly.  I am thankful for these precious children!

Five Trees!

Yes, I am that silly woman that decorates too much for Christmas. And, I do it early.  Yes, five trees…. we have five Christmas trees in this house.  I embrace it now and I think Clark does, too!

Walker and Everly were very, very excited to decorate their trees in their rooms:

And, I'm super proud of the "big" tree.  We got a new one this year and it is beautiful (if I do say so!):

And, the kids are already wearing Christmas pjs.  They grabbed their dogs and asked me to take a picture.  How cute is this:

Such precious babes!!!!

Can't wait for another wonderful Christmas season!!!!

The Golfer

This video is from several weeks ago, but I finally got it uploaded to the computer.  WoodWords readers need to see our little golfer:

So proud that he enjoys golf and is getting better all the time!

Zoo Lights

Going to the preview party of Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo has become a favorite family event for us!  This year was even more fun…. it actually felt like Christmas!  The cooler air made it special.

Here are a lot of fun pictures.  (seriously, the pictures don't do it justice…. it is really beautiful)

There are little treats along the way… popcorn, hot chocolate, wine.  It makes the whole experience really fun.

Look at the little elves!

And, we got a family pic…. I love this!

And, once at the end….. (after smores) they were so excited to get light up toys.  He picked a sword (shocker) and she got a butterfly magic wand.

A really fun night to get into the holiday spirit!!!!

Freezing Field Trip

Walker is a kindergartener now.  That means field trips.  But, who knew our first one would be absolutely freezing!!!!!

We went to P6 Farms in mid 30 degree weather!

The kids were bundled up and ready for fun:

And, so was mommy:

Ha! That picture cracks me up.  He looks like a bank robber and I look like I should be skiing.

But, seriously… it was that cold.  I'm impressed that we all lasted more than three hours.

Although, when you get to fly out of slide sideways… it makes you feel warm!

We were going to do a picnic lunch, but everyone opted to jump in the car and eat in the warmth of McDonalds.

We definitely made memories!!!

Go Frogs!

After the tailgate, we made our way inside. Walker and Ryder were very excited to be "bleacher creatures".  They got to go down on the field and run 100 yards across as the team came out.

I think Ryder is coaching Walker:

And, Clark got to run with them.  (I'm very proud of him getting pictures down there, I couldn't find them from the stands!)

Good little Frogs during pre game:

Tracy, Everly and I while waiting for the boys:

These little cuties were excited when the game started:

I was a little worried that my kids wouldn't be interested in the game.  I was very wrong.  Having Ryder there helped.  He intently watched every down and so Walker did what he did.  It was so exciting.

Everly did have to have a little cat nap just before halftime.  But, thankfully she woke up with a second wind…. as happy as she could be.

Both boys got a special treat during the third quarter.  An old friend of mine (and former football player) is now the sideline reporter for the Frog radio broadcast.  Landry offered to take them on the field:

It's kind of hard to see them, but, thankfully, Ryder had red sleeves… that helped us find them.  They walked back in forth on the TCU sideline and saw the action up close and personal.  They both really enjoyed it. So cool:

Landry knew Googie and Trisha, so he was thrilled to help out and do something special for Ryder (and Walker).

Overall, it was an amazing day.  Frogs won big and are now #4 in the country!  Wow!!!!  I am a very proud Frog and was thrilled to experience a great game day!  Go FROGS! Riff Ram!
