Baseball is Back

Walker started baseball again this year.  But, with many big changes.  First, we are in the Conroe league instead of Montgomery, and, it's coach pitch!  Practices were a little intimidating.  Probably more for mommy.  A lot of these kids are really, really good.  So, Walker has a lot to learn.  But, we feel confident that he will.  He's already making good progress and enjoying it.

In an effort to show Walker the "big boys" we went to Minute Maid to watch the Frogs!  How fun.  PePaw and Maggie and Sara and Ken joined us.  Clark knows the owner of the Astros and he hooked us up with amazing seats….

Such cuties!!!

It's time for Opening Day!

Sisters helping cheer on the boys.

And, up next… our first official game.  Walker was two for two and got the game ball!  Wow!!!!!!  We are so proud of him.  Coach Cody is really great.  Super encouraging and helpful but forceful when he needs to be.  Walker really likes him.

We hope he continues to hit the ball well and have a great season.  Go Rangers!

Go Frogs!

After the tailgate, we made our way inside. Walker and Ryder were very excited to be "bleacher creatures".  They got to go down on the field and run 100 yards across as the team came out.

I think Ryder is coaching Walker:

And, Clark got to run with them.  (I'm very proud of him getting pictures down there, I couldn't find them from the stands!)

Good little Frogs during pre game:

Tracy, Everly and I while waiting for the boys:

These little cuties were excited when the game started:

I was a little worried that my kids wouldn't be interested in the game.  I was very wrong.  Having Ryder there helped.  He intently watched every down and so Walker did what he did.  It was so exciting.

Everly did have to have a little cat nap just before halftime.  But, thankfully she woke up with a second wind…. as happy as she could be.

Both boys got a special treat during the third quarter.  An old friend of mine (and former football player) is now the sideline reporter for the Frog radio broadcast.  Landry offered to take them on the field:

It's kind of hard to see them, but, thankfully, Ryder had red sleeves… that helped us find them.  They walked back in forth on the TCU sideline and saw the action up close and personal.  They both really enjoyed it. So cool:

Landry knew Googie and Trisha, so he was thrilled to help out and do something special for Ryder (and Walker).

Overall, it was an amazing day.  Frogs won big and are now #4 in the country!  Wow!!!!  I am a very proud Frog and was thrilled to experience a great game day!  Go FROGS! Riff Ram!

Frog Football (Pre Game)

Frog football…. wow, what a season we are having.  We only won four games last year.  It wasn't much fun.  But, something is different this season and I LOVE it!  I also love that Clark cares about the Frogs almost as much as the Longhorns and agreed to take the kids to a game. And, bonus, Ryder got to come with us.

I'm pretty sure we picked the perfect game.  Top 10 match up against K-State. Wow, we had fun.

We started off at Frog Alley.  Lots of activities… including our cute boy stopping by the TCU golf van:

Three precious babes posing!

We ran into one of Walker's buddies from school:

And, I just love this picture of Everly….. such a pretty girl.

After Frog Alley, we met up with my girls at a tailgate:

Look at these good husbands…. cheering for the Frogs right with us:

And, more fun…. the kids enjoying snacks and hanging out:

Look at all these cuties:

They all look great and had fun during all the pre game festivities.

Hello Fort Worth!

I have been looking forward to being in Fort Worth and going to see my Frogs play all fall!  And, it wasn't just about the Frogs.  I was excited to see good friends and eat at Joe Ts!!!  I'm pretty sure I drank many a margarita at Joe Ts on a few Friday nights in college.  It was great fun to be back there and introduce my kids to the fun restaurant.  It did not disappoint.  Food tasted exactly the same, and so did the margaritas.

There was one thing that changed…..

Okay, first off, I love this picture.  ALL of the kids are smiling at the camera!!!  But, this picture also cracks me up.  Instead of 15 girls starting their night out at eight so they can go out after, here we are at six, with a bunch of little people.  Had to eat early in order to get babes to bed.  Ha.

But, something else that hasn't changed…..

GREAT friends!!!  It was the perfect start to the weekend.
