The Wood Family is going through some big changes. I've gone from pharmaceutical rep to stay at home mom.
I was scheduled to return to work toward the end of April, and I will admit, I had no idea how I was going to do it... I was away from Walker for six hours on Saturday and missed him like crazy! So, it turns out.. I won't have to find out what it feels like to leave him everyday.
Get this, my company laid me off!
Rumors had been flying for a few weeks, so it wasn't a total surprise. I'm happy that a decision was made for me and I get to stay home with Walker. And, I'm thankful to have a husband who says it isn't important to look for another job right now!
So instead of talking to doctors about birth control pills, I will be sitting at home eating bons bons and watching soap operas. Wait, that's not exactly what I'll be doing.
I have really enjoyed being home with Walker... our house is more in order and I have been busy building my cooking resume. Maybe that's why Clark is okay with me staying home! He actually has dinner every night!
Now on to more important things... changes with Walker! He had a very busy weekend. Friday he went on his first play date. He got to hang out with Ben... his best bud that's only a couple of months older. And, he got to flirt with Ben's older sisters, Ella and Mia. You would think that Mommy would have taken a picture of all that. Nope, she forgot the camera!
Saturday, Walker had a "boys" day with Daddy... I'm not sure what all Clark taught him while I was gone, but I'm sure it was all very masculine.
Also over the weekend, Walker had his first formula bottle! He took it like a champ so that's good news... it shouldn't be a very hard transition.
Wow, that feels like a lot of information for one blog. Sorry for the overload. There are just so many exciting things going on at the Wood house!
