Snaggletooth

Seriously, this cracks me up!

I picked Walker up from school to this crazy smile!  He lost his fourth overall tooth!  I didn't even know it was loose.  But, it sounds like it was big fun to lose it at school! Love my little snaggletooth!

The other day, Walker was petting Anna and he looked so cute, so I took his picture.

Then Everly asked for her picture with Anna.

Walker asked me to take a picture of him with Elsa and to send both of them to Mrs. McCurry.

So, I did!  I think she thought it was cute to see his puppies, but more importantly, I'm excited that he wanted her to see them.  That means he likes his teacher! Hooray!

Winston the Bear

First grade is full of exciting and new things.  I've learned that Winston the Bear is Walker's class mascot.  On Fridays, he picks a student to go home with over the weekend.  His pick is based on best manners during the week.  On Thursday, Walker was telling me all about Winston and how he wanted Winston to come home with him.

I was quite thrilled to see Winston in his arms when I picked him on Friday!!!!

Walker was SO proud to be the first student picked.  (mom and dad are so proud, too!) Although, he wasn't too excited about the fact that he had to write in Winston's journal telling about all they did.  The good news, he got to use pictures, too.

Winston got to go to the lego store…

And, bowling…

And, somehow, Walker found time to write all about it in the journal.  Such a fun way to start out the year.  I'm so proud of this precious boy!

First Grade, New School!

Walker is officially a Covenant Cougar! And, a first grader, WOW!  He was ready for his first day!!!

And, his sister was ready to take a picture with him!  (She's not sure why she hasn't started school, yet!)

Here's Walker in front of Covenant.

And, at his new desk!

With Mrs. McCurry.  (She's so fun!)

As we were walking out after dropping him off, Everly said, "this is bad!  I want Walker to still be at my school!" Aw, so sweet.  I love that they love each other so much.

I am happy to report that Walker is enjoying first grade! He's not used to the longer days, but he's getting there!!!  We are very excited about this year at Covenant!

Just Because

I keep a little miscellaneous folder for pictures.  Basically, pictures that don't need a whole folder or album, but something I want to save.  So, here's my just because blog post!  A bunch of little things!

Walker trying on school uniforms! (why, oh why, does he look so grown up?!?)

A side note to this picture…. I think Walker looks so much like Googie here!  So, I put them side by side.
Awww, I love that there's a lot of Googie in Walker!!!!

Date night!

Everly's last day in preschool at church! Oh my goodness, I can't believe it.  She goes upstairs now.

I am so thankful for Crossroads and all the wonderful people that take care of the babies!  No doubt, both of mine were so very loved there!

We had a fun dinner with Bunny and RayRay and Debra and Taylor!

We love Debra and Taylor so much! So fun to laugh a lot!!!

Walker lost another tooth!

Walker's buddy from pre-k, Leonard, came swimming.

Everly went to a precious birthday tea party for her friend, Becca.

And, finally some cuties in the bath!

Another side note… this may have been their very last bath together.  I think the time has come for them to bathe alone.  Aw, my babies aren't babies anymore!

Ryder's Here!

Summer is winding down, so that means it's time for another Ryder visit!  Walker and Everly LOVE it when he's here and we always have lots of fun.

We had no big plans and that was perfectly fine.  Lots of sports and swimming! A new favorite pool game is keep away!  Adding Ryder to the mix was so fun…. action packed!

I love this sweet picture… this is a precious daddy/daughter bond!

Bunny and Elsa got in on the pool action.

The crew!

I think this picture is so cute….

It wasn't quite Ryder's birthday, but we decided to celebrate early…. 12 candles!

We had to introduce Ryder to Chiller Bee.  Yummy!

And, some basketball and baseball fun!

We really love having Ryder visit.  He's so great with the kids and loves to join in on our nightly "what good happened to you" routine.  And, I love it when he helps with nighttime prayers and tucking the babes into bed.  Special memories!  We were having such fun, that he ended up staying for an extra day.  We can't wait until he comes back!

Night at the Astros

We love baseball and the Astros in this house.  So, when Clark's company hosted Nabors Night at the Astros, we were all about it.

It was a very cool evening.  Great seats, food and drink, and a fun game! We got to take Walker and he really enjoyed it!  He had no idea that he was going to have to talk to so many of Daddy's coworkers…. I was so proud of our grown up boy!!!

The other cool thing… Walker watched every pitch!  He liked knowing about balls and strikes and outs.  And, he was pumped when a home run ball came down right in front of us!!!! (we were above the bullpen)

Such a fun night! Go Astros!

Long Awaited Sleepover

Walker's best buddy is Hudson.  He's been soooooooo excited to have Hudson spend the night.  It finally happened!  Wow, these were two very happy boys.

Here's Walker waiting and watching for Hudson.  He couldn't stand it, he was so excited!

We swam and made homemade pizzas for dinner:

And, the next morning Walker was thrilled to take Hudson to "work out"!

We are very sad that these boys aren't at the same school anymore.  But, I feel confident that they will continue their very sweet friendship!
