I Got it All

There's a line in the Sex and the City movie when Charlotte tells Carrie that her life is so good that she's afraid something bad is going to happen. She goes on to say that she has everything she's ever wanted. Now, I'm not sitting around thinking something bad is going to happen, but I know how she feels. Truly.

Seriously, I have to list our many blessings:

- I have the most wonderful, amazing, loving husband. I highly recommend everyone find their soulmate.
- I have the two greatest kids in the history of the world. Honestly, I wanted a boy and a girl... got 'em! And, I got them in the order I wanted.
- My kids have three sets of grandparents in their lives. How fantastic is that?!
- We have a caring, loving church family. It is such a wonderful place to take our kids and to grow spiritually.
- I get to stay home with my precious kids. I know that I am so lucky because lots of mommys don't get that opportunity. And, I LOVE getting to spend my days with my handsome boy and sweet girl.

I've been thinking about writing this post for several weeks now. But, I didn't want it to be silly or stupid. I mean, who actually writes about how great their life is? But, I decided to go ahead and put in print, because I want to be able to look back and know how I felt at this point in our lives.

Each and every night I go into Walker and Everly's rooms to check on them. It takes my breath away. It is my favorite time of the day because I get my reminder that they are so precious. I feel so honored and blessed to be their mother.

After I check on them I walk back into the living room and tell Clark that they are the sweetest or the cutest or the most precious. Then I usually tell Clark that I love him. It's a pretty good routine.

And, it's a great way to end the day. I go to sleep feeling happy and blessed.

Everly is Three Months Old!

So, I can't believe it, but it's true. Our baby girl is officially three months old! Time goes by too fast.

How cute is this little girl???

Thanks to Mindy for this adorable outfit!

Her big brother is as sweet as he is cute!

She is so lucky to have him as a brother!

Although, I guess he wants her to be quiet!

They are both too funny and bring us more joy than we ever imagined!

Who Needs a Degree?

Walker is ready to go to work. He thinks he'll skip school and college all together.

I took the kids to visit Daddy at the office last week. They had a fabulous time. In fact, Walker wants to take over.

He had the run of the halls...

And, he was shooting off some very important emails.

He had to go from office to office and even enjoyed some work time in the conference room.

As you can see, Daddy was paying close attention to his boss!

Everly had lots of fun, too. Hopefully Walker will show her the ropes and she'll be ready in about a year or so!

Sweet Smile

My little beauty is smiling more and more!

I decided Everly needed a blog all to herself. Her brother had a very busy week and got lots of "blog attention", so it's her turn!

***disclaimer**** I wrote this blog early this morning, but I have to add something. Everly rolled over today!!! She's such a big girl. I do have it on video, but by the time I actually got the camera out, she was crying, so I won't make everyone witness it. She rolled over five times in a row, so it wasn't a fluke!

Big Boy Goes to School

Aw, my sweet boy started preschool today!

He loved having his very own lunchbox... in fact, he held on to it all the way there!

He was all smiles and very excited to wear his backpack. And, after very few tears, he had a fantastic day!

His teachers told me that he had a blast playing with friends, ate at lunchtime, slept at naptime and overall had a wonderful time!

My favorite story of the day... it turns out my sweet, tenderhearted boy is very helpful to his friends. After he finished his art project (learning about yellow circles) he helped his little buddies with theirs! Seriously, it's one sweet thing after another with this kid. I am so proud!

And, more good news... Everly and I had lots of fun girl time that resulted in a very productive day! I think we'll get used to this schedule!

Down on the Farm

It is official... Walker LOVES the farm. Although, what little boy wouldn't love the farm? He gets to ride on lots of exciting things...

A jeep...

A four-wheeler...

A gator...

A tricycle...

And, that's not all... he got to play football...

And, watch the cows...

And, eat a chicken leg...

While Walker was having all his fun adventures, this was Everly...

But, it wasn't just sitting around for her. She got to experience a first... a breeze in her face!

And, she enjoyed her big brother, as always. In fact, on our way home today, we turned around to find him holding her hand. Seriously, could they be any sweeter???

So, what is my favorite picture of the weekend....

Walker had a blast with his cousin, Aidan!

Finally, FOOTBALL

You knew it was coming. It's the first full day of the college football season, so we have to celebrate! It was a big day for the Longhorns and the Horned Frogs. (a much bigger day for the Frogs, since they weren't playing Rice!)

Anyway, I am happy to report TWO WINS! Yippee.

Okay, on to the good stuff... pictures of the kids.

First, my favorites one of the day. Everly learning the drill and looking fabulous for her two teams:

Next, Walker and Everly after Rice scored first:

No worries, the Longhorns came back to win!

And, check out these little bottoms. Seriously, could UT do a better job of marketing???

So, it was a two outfit day... this is after Oregon State took the lead:

Nevermind... no need to worry, the Frogs pulled it out!

Okay, obviously these pictures weren't taken in real time. But, it's just too much fun to ACT like it!

For some reason Walker wanted to cry when we started taking pictures, but his frowns quickly turned into smiles.

We are all happy at the Wood house... here's to many more Longhorn and Horned Frog wins!
