There's a line in the Sex and the City movie when Charlotte tells Carrie that her life is so good that she's afraid something bad is going to happen. She goes on to say that she has everything she's ever wanted. Now, I'm not sitting around thinking something bad is going to happen, but I know how she feels. Truly.
Seriously, I have to list our many blessings:
- I have the most wonderful, amazing, loving husband. I highly recommend everyone find their soulmate.
- I have the two greatest kids in the history of the world. Honestly, I wanted a boy and a girl... got 'em! And, I got them in the order I wanted.
- My kids have three sets of grandparents in their lives. How fantastic is that?!
- We have a caring, loving church family. It is such a wonderful place to take our kids and to grow spiritually.
- I get to stay home with my precious kids. I know that I am so lucky because lots of mommys don't get that opportunity. And, I LOVE getting to spend my days with my handsome boy and sweet girl.
I've been thinking about writing this post for several weeks now. But, I didn't want it to be silly or stupid. I mean, who actually writes about how great their life is? But, I decided to go ahead and put in print, because I want to be able to look back and know how I felt at this point in our lives.
Each and every night I go into Walker and Everly's rooms to check on them. It takes my breath away. It is my favorite time of the day because I get my reminder that they are so precious. I feel so honored and blessed to be their mother.
After I check on them I walk back into the living room and tell Clark that they are the sweetest or the cutest or the most precious. Then I usually tell Clark that I love him. It's a pretty good routine.
And, it's a great way to end the day. I go to sleep feeling happy and blessed.
