I had every intention of showing you pictures of our fantastic painting in the little man room today. But, that's not going to happen.
You see, Clark starting painting yesterday and I REALLY thought we would be done today. That's not the case. We bought some really cool, textured paint. It's called "granite" paint. If you ever decide to buy some, be warned... it's very hard to work with! It's all grainy and thick. Earlier this afternoon I started to panic, I couldn't tell if the "texture" looked good, or if it looked like a 5-year-old took the paintbrush and went nuts. So, I needed a new eye.
I called my mom. She came over and assured us that the paint actually does look good! So, with her help, we continued on with the second coat and I'm feeling much better. But, I'm just not ready to show the world. As it dries, you can see where you need to add more "texture" so, I plan to continue to add to it throughout the week. So, the pictures can wait. Plus, I got a call over the weekend that the baby furniture is in! The walls will look so much cuter with a crib and a dresser.
Oh, and by the way... I have to give you the story behind calling the room the "little man room". I've been calling it the baby room or the nursery, but Clark corrected me, he says "we're having a boy, it's not a nursery, it's a man room!" So, it stuck.
I promise to show pictures once it's more complete.
Oh, and it's important to note, Clark and I did get to watch the Longhorns last night. A victory for the Longhorns and a victory for the Horned Frogs, a happy Wood house.
