Walker is almost 18-months old and he is hilarious.
His newest trick is to grab my Iphone, turn on some music and start dancing. I guess he's a fan of Sonny and Cher!
We had to share:
Also, an update on Everly... she's slept NINE hours the last two nights! Yippee. Both my babies love to sleep, just like their momma!

One Month Old
I cannot believe that Everly is a month old tomorrow! Time flies.
She is doing great. We moved her to her crib over the weekend and she seems very happy there. Last night she slept for 6 hours, had a little snack, then slept for another 5 hours! So, she's well on her way to sleeping through the night. Go Everly!
Here are some new pictures:

And, we have to include one of big brother doing his best entertaining.

I am so amazed at how much Walker loves his little sister. He loves to pat her and hold her hand. He really is the sweetest big brother I've ever seen!

D.O.N.E.
I am done. Really, really done. D.O.N.E.
With what, you ask... breastfeeding.
I know that all women are created to breastfeed. It really is an incredible, wonderful thing and I had high hopes of breastfeeding Everly for a long time. While all women are created to breastfeed, I think some are better at it than others. I fall in the "not good at it" category.
I've had some guilt about "not being good at it". But, I'm over it. Seriously, our mothers didn't breastfeed us and Clark is brilliant and I'm... well, I'm not dumb.
I had issues with Walker and it turns out, I had a whole new set of issues with Everly. I'm not going to whine or complain about this, but I thought it was worthy of a blog.
I am fighting my second infection and it turns out to be staph. Seriously, how did this happen? I'm just doing what I think I'm supposed to do.. feeding my baby girl, yet I end up feeling terrible... TWICE. (have I mentioned that she isn't even 4 weeks old yet?)
How in the world did women deal with this stuff before formula?? I truly can't imagine!
I'm pretty sure I'm on the road to recovery and I can't wait. I will be very excited to be healthy! NOT being pregnant feels fantastic. I can't wait until I'm not pregnant and not feeling bad. What a treat that will be. It's been a long time coming.

I Can Do This!
I am happy to report and I am surviving being the mother of two! This week went very well!
Tuesday morning Clark went to work and left me with both Walker and Everly... ALONE. The thought of it was scarier than the actual act of being alone with them.
Walker went to school on Tuesday and Thursday, which gave me an Everly some good mommy/daughter time. On Wednesday, Nanna, Bubba and Mama Ru came for a visit, so that was a fun activity and on the other days we planned little outings and did just fine! I am relieved to know that I actually can do this! It helps that I have the two best babies in the world!!!
On Saturday, Uncle Googie, Aunt Trisha, Savannah, Carson and Ryder came to visit and meet Everly.

Walker had a blast with his cousins!

And, he loved hanging out in Bunny and RayRay's new fancy pool!

I think Walker is about to rap for his sister:

We had a great day!
And, I have to add one more picture of Walker... here's my precious little cowboy!

Happy 4th!
Happy Fourth of July! We didn't leave the house today... no major celebrating going on... BUT, we did take lots of fun pictures! Sorry to add so many at once, but they are just fun!
Walker and Everly hanging on the floor:

Our pretty girl:

This series of photos makes us laugh. We decided to REALLY try to get a good one of them together:

Walker really likes that flower:

And, now he's done... hold on Everly!

Okay, they let us try one more time... And, SUCCESS! Look at these two precious babes!

And, the fun continued... Walker likes to entertain his sister:

And, one last shot. The strawberry on the butt. Nothing cuter!

No More Tears ... ?
I thought I better give a quick update. I wouldn't want people to think that I'm sitting over here drowning in my tears.
I'm happy to report that Walker is well and at home. He came home yesterday afternoon and I LOVED having all my family under the same roof again.
Also, I haven't cried since Wednesday! Woohoo. Maybe the hormones are finally starting to regulate. It has been a really good two days, and I'm hopeful that it's the beginning of LOTS of good days.
Thanks to Bunny and RayRay for keeping Walker for two nights. I don't know what we would have done without you!
And, thanks to my wonderful husband, not only for putting up with my crazy emotions, but also for letting me get some GOOD sleep! It's amazing how much better you can feel when you are rested!
I've been bad about taking pictures the last few days... I promise that will change this weekend. So, hopefully lots of good pics to come!
