Night at the Astros

We love baseball and the Astros in this house.  So, when Clark's company hosted Nabors Night at the Astros, we were all about it.

It was a very cool evening.  Great seats, food and drink, and a fun game! We got to take Walker and he really enjoyed it!  He had no idea that he was going to have to talk to so many of Daddy's coworkers…. I was so proud of our grown up boy!!!

The other cool thing… Walker watched every pitch!  He liked knowing about balls and strikes and outs.  And, he was pumped when a home run ball came down right in front of us!!!! (we were above the bullpen)

Such a fun night! Go Astros!

Long Awaited Sleepover

Walker's best buddy is Hudson.  He's been soooooooo excited to have Hudson spend the night.  It finally happened!  Wow, these were two very happy boys.

Here's Walker waiting and watching for Hudson.  He couldn't stand it, he was so excited!

We swam and made homemade pizzas for dinner:

And, the next morning Walker was thrilled to take Hudson to "work out"!

We are very sad that these boys aren't at the same school anymore.  But, I feel confident that they will continue their very sweet friendship!

Crossfit Comp

So, everyone gets tired of me talking about Crossfit.  But, what can I say! I love it!  Crossfit Conroe had a big competition (which included a scaled division… that's why I got to compete!) and all the 9:30 girls participated.  It was so fun!

And, I am very happy to report that I am passing on the love of crossfitting to a certain kiddo that lives in our house!

Walker has done the kid class all summer and LOVED it!!!!!  He begs to "work out"!  I love it!

Girl Time

Walker was off at Bentwater for golf camp and Daddy was out of town, so, that means some girl time!  Everly and I had a great time being together and doing some shopping.

We are still picking out some home decor since the big remodel.  She's an awesome helper!

And, we shopped for back to school!

But, I'm a little worried about her shopping stamina….

Yep, sound asleep on the way home.  We will have to work on her endurance! Ha.  And, I'm including one more picture, because she's just too cute and loves bath time!!!

We had a great time watching girlie movies and not having to listen to boys!  One on one time is so fun!

Golf Camp

You know what's fun about having grandparents who live in a golf course community?  Golf camp!  Walker was very excited to go to Bentwater Golf Camp for a second year.  When Bunny and RayRay asked if he needed new clubs, Clark and I said, maybe.  When we pulled out his old clubs, it was obvious they were WAY TOO short! So, thankfully they took him to Golfsmith and he got a new set of clubs.  Which meant little sister got a new (to her!) set!

How cute is this:

He was ready!  And, here's the handsome little man on the first day(and a bunch of other days):

One afternoon, we went to the driving range and I was SO impressed!  Wow, we have a little golfer!  He can hit it far and straight!

And, I have to include this picture because he's so darn cute! (and grown up!):

The last day, we got to go watch all the little competitions…. he was ready!

And, he did really well!

He was in the Nicklaus group and this is where he ended up:

Because he was in the top three in his group, he got to continue competing in the "overall" competition.  He didn't place in those, but he loved just being in it!  I was very proud of his improvement and effort!

And, I'm pretty sure he was proud of himself!

Golf is an awesome sport that we hope he'll love forever.  It's so fun to see him get better and enjoy it.

American Ninja Warrior

Who watches American Ninja Warrior?  It's a huge favorite at the Wood house.  If you haven't seen it, check it out.

Walker especially loves it.  So, you can imagine how excited he was when Hudson invited him to an ANW birthday party!  At a REAL warrior gym! With Sam Sann!  Seriously, the excitement was almost too much to handle!

Everly didn't want to really participate, but she did like this rope ladder.

Walker getting some coaching from Sam Sann on the warped wall.

A little rope swinging.

Trying the spider wall!

All the kids loved their obstacle course.

Even the little warrior!

All the kiddos with Sam.

I had to make Walker take this picture with Sam.

But, then when he saw Sam compete the next time on tv, he was super happy to have it! It was such an awesome party!!!!!!

Happy 4th of July

We had such a fun 4th of July!  It started with our neighborhood parade.  Loved seeing all these kiddos together!

Everly was especially proud to ride her new frozen bike!!!

Aren't they just the cutest?!?

Later in the afternoon, several families met over at Suhdir and Nicki's for BBQ, swimming and good old fashioned fun!  Most of the kids are great swimmers now.  The mamas commented on how grown up our "babies" are these days.

It was a great day with great neighbors!!!  We all had a blast and even though the kids wanted to see fireworks, they were asleep way before dark.  A day in the pool makes you tired!
