You know what's fun about having grandparents who live in a golf course community? Golf camp! Walker was very excited to go to Bentwater Golf Camp for a second year. When Bunny and RayRay asked if he needed new clubs, Clark and I said, maybe. When we pulled out his old clubs, it was obvious they were WAY TOO short! So, thankfully they took him to Golfsmith and he got a new set of clubs. Which meant little sister got a new (to her!) set!
How cute is this:
He was ready! And, here's the handsome little man on the first day(and a bunch of other days):
One afternoon, we went to the driving range and I was SO impressed! Wow, we have a little golfer! He can hit it far and straight!
And, I have to include this picture because he's so darn cute! (and grown up!):
The last day, we got to go watch all the little competitions…. he was ready!
And, he did really well!
He was in the Nicklaus group and this is where he ended up:
Because he was in the top three in his group, he got to continue competing in the "overall" competition. He didn't place in those, but he loved just being in it! I was very proud of his improvement and effort!
And, I'm pretty sure he was proud of himself!
Golf is an awesome sport that we hope he'll love forever. It's so fun to see him get better and enjoy it.
