Learning New Chores

How long do you think they will want to help do this?

So cute and so helpful!

The Fresh Beat Band!

How cool is this... Walker and Everly have already been to their first concert!  They both love the Fresh Beat Band, so we couldn't resist... we took them to their concert!

Waiting patiently to go inside!

Where is Shout?!  They couldn't wait for it to start....

They got cool flashlights and enjoyed them the whole show.

Sweet daddy and daughter!

"No pictures please!"

Another first, cotton candy!  They both liked it!

It's funny to see their personalities shine through.... in typical fashion, Everly was crazy.  She wanted to dance and scream.  But, calm Walker just took everything in.  He sat calmly with his eyes big and just stared and didn't miss a thing.  It's amazing how different two kids can be!

After the concert, we went to Jack and Brandy's annual crawfish boil.  The kids were excellent and handled the long day really well.  I did have to include this picture.... it cracks me up!

I think this was their way of saying, "it's time to go!"  Our day didn't finish there.  When we got home, we went to our neighbors house for a little Cinco De Mayo party.  Whew!  That's a lot of activities for one day.  I'm proud of how well behaved they were... these kids are party-going pros!

Fun Farm Day!

It's pretty great to have grandparents who live on a farm.  Seriously, big fun!  Since we didn't see Nanna and Bubba at Easter, they planned something similar to an egg hunt.... it was an animal hunt.  Walker and Everly loved it!

Aidan is such a good helper!

We always have to be on the look out for cows!  As Walker and Everly say.... "mooooo"!

Bubba and Everly racing against Walker!

Aidan had fun games for Walker and Everly to play.

Nanna helping Everly drive the gator!

These babes are so lucky to have Bubba and Nanna close by.... you never run out of things to do at the farm!

Spontaneous!

There's something to be said about being spontaneous.  No expectations.  No planning.  No worrying.

This morning, Clark had to go to work.  Never fun on the weekend, but necessary during quarter close.  But, he did get to come home sooner than expected, so we made the most of our beautiful day.  It turns out Montgomery County has a fair!  This is where Facebook is really handy.  I noticed a few people mentioned it today, so after the kids woke up from their nap, off we went!

It took us less than 10 minutes to get there, free parking, no traffic and not super crowded.... what else could you ask for?

Walker tried really hard to win a fish!  Didn't happen.

And, he tried to get a ring around a duck!  He came really close!

Riding the circus train!  They loved it!

Riding the BIG ferris wheel!  FUN!

Walker really loved it!

"Daddy, we are so high up!"

Awesome bounce house with slide!

The best part.... FAIR FOOD!  Yummy!
What a great way to spend a Spring Saturday!

Easter Fun

I'm not going to lie.  I wasn't exactly looking forward to Easter.  For the last few years, Googie and his family have come and we've had a really amazing time. So, no doubt, this year was going to have some emptiness.

This picture was taken last year.

It is now framed in Walker's room.  Uncle Googie loved his nephew and niece!  It's so special to have amazing memories.  Yes, we missed him terribly this year.  But, as M'Lynn (from Steel Magnolias) says, "Life goes on."

So, we went to Bentwater and had a great time!  Walker and Everly had a ball.  And, Frosty and Linda came for the weekend.  It was so great to see them and spend time with them.  It was a very special weekend!

Guess what I have?  Lots and lots of pictures.  It was Easter and my kids are just too precious, so I have to post a lot!!!!

He really loves his sister!

Can you say framer!  Wow, this needs to be displayed!

My sweet, happy girl.

They dyed beautiful Easter eggs!

Daddy's girl!  Aren't they the sweetest!

I love this one!  Two of the most fun people I know!

The girls!!

Walker got to ride in the golf cart!

Walker and Everly with their fourth set of grandparents!  They had fun with Frosty and Linda.

So handsome!

So, so cute.

We ended up with a good family photo!!!!  We are so blessed.

Rodeo Day!

So, this event happened a LONG time ago.  Bad mommy for not posting sooner!  Walker's school put on a rodeo day!  You can't tell, but Walker has on pearl snaps and boots.  He was cowboyish!

Here he is with his friend Megan.

So, yes.... she's holding his hand.  I think he likes it....

Little sister got in on the fun!

They saw animals, did a hayride, panned for gold.  But, the most fun thing.... playing on the playground!

It was a fun day!

Jenga, Jenga, Jenga

Wow.  That's all I can say.... Wow.  I've known for a long time that we live in the "wilderness", but I never, ever thought I would encounter what I encountered this week:

If you are wondering what that is.... it's an ALLIGATOR!  In our POOL!

At first, I thought it was a snake, but then I realized that it has legs!

And, he wasn't exactly small.  Walker was really thrilled with this excitement.  We couldn't peel him away from the window!

He kept saying, "mama, it's a crocodile!"  I asked him what his name was and he quickly responded, "Jenga".  Not sure where that came from, but I like it!

Can you tell they were excited????  I'm telling you, they didn't leave the window!

I called animal control and Conroe police showed up.

As you can tell, they were really helpful.  They stood around and took pictures!  Then they left.  On their way out, they told me the game warden was going to come get Jenga..... in two hours!  So, someone had to keep watch on Jenga.  Clark was on duty, when I heard, "Uh oh!!"

Yep, you guessed it.  Jenga jumped out!  At this point, I got scared.  I wasn't sure what we were going to do if he wandered away.  I would never let Walker and Everly out of the house again!  Or Remy!!!  But, thankfully, Jenga sat there, sunning himself, and the game warden showed up five minutes later.

It took him less than 30 seconds to get Jenga.... and take him away.

After Jenga got thrown in the back of the truck, Walker said, "night, night Jenga!"

Wow, what an adventure.

Who wants to come swimming at the Wood house????
