Jenga, Jenga, Jenga

Wow.  That's all I can say.... Wow.  I've known for a long time that we live in the "wilderness", but I never, ever thought I would encounter what I encountered this week:

If you are wondering what that is.... it's an ALLIGATOR!  In our POOL!

At first, I thought it was a snake, but then I realized that it has legs!

And, he wasn't exactly small.  Walker was really thrilled with this excitement.  We couldn't peel him away from the window!

He kept saying, "mama, it's a crocodile!"  I asked him what his name was and he quickly responded, "Jenga".  Not sure where that came from, but I like it!

Can you tell they were excited????  I'm telling you, they didn't leave the window!

I called animal control and Conroe police showed up.

As you can tell, they were really helpful.  They stood around and took pictures!  Then they left.  On their way out, they told me the game warden was going to come get Jenga..... in two hours!  So, someone had to keep watch on Jenga.  Clark was on duty, when I heard, "Uh oh!!"

Yep, you guessed it.  Jenga jumped out!  At this point, I got scared.  I wasn't sure what we were going to do if he wandered away.  I would never let Walker and Everly out of the house again!  Or Remy!!!  But, thankfully, Jenga sat there, sunning himself, and the game warden showed up five minutes later.

It took him less than 30 seconds to get Jenga.... and take him away.

After Jenga got thrown in the back of the truck, Walker said, "night, night Jenga!"

Wow, what an adventure.

Who wants to come swimming at the Wood house????
