Four More Weeks!?

Ugh. We have to wait four more weeks to find out if Wood Baby #2 is a boy or a girl! Torture!

I went for my 16 week checkup and everything is looking good, but we didn't get an ultrasound, so we wait until next month! The one thing that is fun about this... Clark will actually be with me when we find out. I was by myself when I found Walker was a boy, so this time we can find out together!

So, since we have to wait until February, I decided to put up a poll to see what the readers of WoodWords think... boy or girl? Cast your vote!

The End of a Fantastic College Football Season

Look at my boys!

Such a cute pair! It really is too bad that the Longhorns couldn't pull out a win, but considering all that happened, I think they played well and will have another great season next year.

I just can't believe that we had so much fun rooting for the Longhorns and the Horned Frogs all season long with NO losses, then we had to endure both disappointing games in one week! But, I'm proud to say, we all handled the losses much better than I would have thought!

So, the college football season is over. Seriously, what are we going to do with ourselves! I guess we'll take the next five months to prepare for Wood Baby #2!

I'm really hoping that we will find out what the little darling is this week, but it's not guaranteed. This "not working in OB/Gyn offices everyday" has put a damper on my ultrasound perks! So, if not this week, we will know next month. I guess we can wait if we have to! I'll be sure to post in WoodWords the minute we know!

Walker's First "Professional" Haircut

As you could tell from an earlier blog, Walker's hair has gotten kind of wild! Mommy and Bunny have given him several trims, but I decided it was time for a professional.

So, here's the "before" picture:

Then we went off to the mall to a "kid" hair cutting place. It was great! Walker was such a big boy sitting in the chair all by himself!

Adding to the "best child in the world" file... Walker was great the whole time. He let the hairdresser do her thing and didn't fuss at all.

No tears, but he wasn't a fan of the "clippers":

Check out this final product! So handsome!

Disclaimer... our new camera is so fantastic, I can't help but post extra pictures! Sorry if it's too many!

Still a Proud Horned Frog

Okay, so I'm not talking about the undefeated Horned Frogs today... boo. Last night's game was very disappointing... but only because we didn't win. Not because we didn't play hard. Both defenses were really good, but Boise's offense was just a teenie bit better.

I REALLY wish we could have won, but I'm still very proud to wear purple and call myself a Horned Frog!

Now, it's time to focus our household on Thursday and the Longhorn's chance for a National Championship.

I'd like for one of our teams to be undefeated at the end of the week!

Pre-Game

This has been the LONGEST day! I'm so excited for the Horned Frogs to kick off! Only a few more minutes.

I made Frosty's world famous tacos for dinner and they were delicious.... the perfect dinner for game day!

Oh, and Walker wants there to be LOTS of Frog touchdowns tonight!

I sure hope I'm talking about the UNDEFEATED Frogs tomorrow!

Bed Head

This is what we found when Walker woke up from his nap this evening:

That's what you call wild hair.

And, to make it even more funny.... I swear, I think this is only picture I have in Walker's 11 months where he looks unhappy:

I couldn't help but laugh out loud at that one... it's like he's saying, "Mommy, please don't take my picture right now." But, only a few seconds later, his usual smile was back:

Happy New Year!

Wow, I can't believe today is 2010! Time flies when you're having fun.

2009 was such an amazing year for the Woods. I can't believe we are about to have Walker's first birthday. Like I said, time flies.

Walker has brought us more joy than we can even imagine. We find ourselves saying things like "we have the best baby in the world", "is there a cuter kid out there?", and "what did we do before he was around" each and every day.

And, just think... come June we will feel even more blessed with another addition to our family.

We will always look back at 2009 as one of the best years of our lives and I'm hopeful that we will feel exactly the same way about 2010!

Happy New Year to all our friends and family!
