Locks of Love

I'm not sure if all the WoodWords readers have noticed, but Everly's hair has gotten really long.  Like, hard to manage long.  So, a couple of months ago I asked her about cutting her hair.  She seemed open to it.  So, I told her that there are sick little girls who don't have hair.  She didn't believe me, so we looked at some pictures online.  She immediately said she'd like to give those little girls her hair.  So precious. So, I found out, it's very, very easy to donate to Locks of Love.  Cut off a ponytail and send it in!

After preschool was over and our big Disney trip, it was time to head to the salon.  She was a little freaked out because my hairdresser is a guy!  But, she quickly warmed up to Adam.

And, there goes the ponytail!

I love this picture… holding the pony, but looking at the shorter hair!

I was so pleased, because she loved it right away! She kept checking herself out in the mirror.

Such a cute cut!  And, oh my, it makes her look so grown up!

Here she is with her package for Locks of Love.

We are very proud of Everly for realizing that others have hardships.  She was very willing to give something of herself to help someone else.  I hope this is just the beginning of a giving heart for her!
