Mommy's Helpers

Sometimes I forget how grown up my sweet babes are.  Like, seriously grown up.  I'm so quick to tell them they can't help or can't do something, and that's out of habit.  Not out of "they shouldn't be doing that".  So, I'm making a conscious effort to step out of my comfort zone and let Walker and Everly do more and help!  Especially, since they love it and feel so proud when I give them a job!

Here's chef Everly!  This girl loves asparagus and now knows how to break off the ends!

And, she got to help with the olive oil and salt and pepper.

Both of them help me empty the dishwasher and set the table.  And, get this, Walker brought in the very big garbage can the other day!  I'm realizing, all you have to do is ask and they are super excited to help.  I'm guessing I should enjoy it now, because I know the day will come when they aren't excited about chores!

And, I'm adding a few miscellaneous pictures to this post for fun.   It all goes with the fact that I'm really enjoy the stage of these kids.  They are so fun right now.

I have lots of mommy friends who constantly focus on the fact that one stage is over.  And, I will admit, sometimes it makes me a little sad to know I don't have babies anymore.  But, I'm so very serious when I say, I love where my kids are right now.  Eager to learn, sweet, temper tantrums are over (for the most part), they love playing together and can entertain each other for hours. Clark and I love overhearing their conversations. They have great imaginations say the most adorable things to each other.  We are so very blessed by our precious babes!  Can't wait for all the adventures yet to come!
