Loyalty

Clark has some amazing friends.  Really. Amazing.  Friends.  David, Stephen, Bryan, Shane and Clark all grew up together.  I've heard many a story about playing baseball until dark, riding bikes around the neighborhood and playing at each other's houses.

When you get these guys together it is pure joy.  This past weekend we got to celebrate David's 40th birthday and all the guys were together.  When I say pure joy... I mean it.  They love being around each other and all the wives love watching them together.

I love the fact that the wives are all included in the club, no questions asked.  Because their friend loves his wife, they love her, too.  We are all bonded!

So, while it's fun to hear them tell their childhood stories and watch them laugh hysterically at a memory, the thing that sticks out to me about these guys is their loyalty.  I've never seen a group of people (especially guys) who are so loyal to each other.  They really are more like brothers than friends.

They are there for each other during the best times of their life, like weddings and birth of children.  And, they are there for each other during the worst of times, like the death of a parent or grandparent.

These guys show up.  That's just what they do.  No questions asked.

And, remember what I said about being a part of the club?  Yep, they were there for me during the death of my brother.  The boys all played together at the Snowman Classic, and I was thrilled that they were there.

They show up.  It's what they do.  No questions asked.

They are so very blessed to have each other in their lives and I am very honored to call them my friends!

I love the smiles in this picture!

And, just because it's too funny not to mention:

That would be my husband on a pogo stick.  Yes, someone thought a pogo competition would be a good idea.  This is something Clark would never do anywhere else, but when he gets around these guys it's game on.

I love Bryan's reaction in this pic.... it was the moment Clark became pogo CHAMPION.  I'm so proud!
