Date Night

I know what you're thinking.... why is she blogging about a date night.  Posts about Deana and Clark are boring....  well, it wasn't a mommy/daddy date night.  It was a daddy/daughter and mommy/son date night.

On Friday, Clark took Everly out and I took Walker out.  We've been talking about the importance of having one on one time with our kids, so we've started a new monthly tradition.  Once a month, Clark and I will both spend some alone time with each child.   I think it's important for them.  They are so close in age, they literally do everything together.  So, hopefully this will make them feel special!

I really enjoyed my time with Walker.

And, from what I can tell, Daddy had a great time with Everly.  She hasn't wanted anything to do with me since!!!!!

(oh my!  I LOVE this pic!)

Clark took his girl to Chickfla.  I took Walker to the mall.  Where he got to ride the merry go round!

Then, after dinner, he got yummy ice cream!

I'm very proud of Walker.  While we were on our date, I talked to him about manners and the way a boy treats a girl.  I'm happy to report, he ran to every door so he could open it for his mama.  Love him!

I asked Daddy to take pictures of his date, but he forgot!  I'm sure he'll remember next time.

I'm excited about this new tradition.  Looking forward to many more date nights!
