Last week was very historic. Clark and I left both of our babes for FOUR nights. I've never been away from them for more than one night. But, when you have a chance to go to the Bahamas, you take it. And, I did. Although, the kids tried their best to come with us!
I'm pretty sure they didn't think we would notice!
But, we did manage to break away and go off to a tropical island.
So beautiful. Thursday was truly the most relaxing day I've had since before Walker was born. I slept until 10. I went to the beach and I sat there. I had some lunch, finished a book, watched the waves, felt the breeze and sat some more. It was lovely. Although, it would have been more lovely if Clark hadn't been stuck in a conference room for 11 hours.
Friday was also nice. I went to the pool and then the spa. But, this is where the trip takes a turn. A turn for the worse. Bottom line.... don't eat the ice. We went to this resort last year with no problems, but this time... the time I don't have any kids with me.... I got sick. No fun.
But, I'll say this... if you're going to be sick, you might as well be sick with a view. Clark and I did spend all day Saturday on the beach.
And, the best way to wash away the sand and salt....
That is truly the most amazing bathtub EVER! I got Clark to take this picture because I want to build a tub just like this someday. So nice.
And, here's our one good picture together... shockingly, it's right before we left, when I felt really terrible.
Anyway, that almost sums up the trip. Almost.....
Yep, that's me... on the corporate jet. Clark has now officially spoiled me rotten. I've requested that we never fly commercial again! HA!
A HUGE thank you to Bunny and RayRay for keeping the kids. It was really nice to be able to get away and not worry about Walker and Everly. They were having as much fun as us!
