Cute Things to Remember

My children have done some funny and very sweet things lately... Putting that stuff in print means we will actually remember it!

First of all, last night Everly got on Walker's rocking horse.  This doesn't sound particularly interesting, until I tell you she was completely naked!  It was hilarious.  And, as soon and Daddy and I started laughing, she and Walker both started laughing and we had one of those great laughing moments.  Precious.

Next, I mentioned it on Facebook, but it needs to be in the blog, too.  Walker still prays for Uncle Googie... every single night.  After he prays for everyone else, he ends his nightly prayer with, "and please help Uncle Googie, amen."  A lot of the time it brings me to tears.  It warms my heart and breaks my heart all at the same time.  It's just so sweet and innocent and precious.

And, possibly my favorite story of the week.... on Friday, Everly and I went to pick Walker up from school.  We walked in his room when another little boy walked up to Everly and started patting her.  He said "baby" and as Walker heard this, he ran up, put himself between the boy and Everly and said... "MY BABY!"  He did not want that other boy touching Everly or calling her anything!  Now, this could just be a part of the "mine" phase, but I choose to believe it's because Walker is very protective of his sister.  It reminded me of another sweet big brother....

I'm so happy that God gave us Walker first.  Every time something like this happens I will be reminded of Googie.  And, it will make me smile.
