Our Sunday School class threw us a diaper shower and MOPS mamas brought us dinner... for WEEKS after Everly was born. I was so grateful and felt so blessed... but, I also had this feeling of guilt, because I knew there was no way for me to repay them.
But, I have figured out that those people didn't buy us diapers or bring us dinner so we would reciprocate. They did it for us because someone had done it for them.
And, now I get to do it for others.
MOPS (moms of preschoolers) has been such a blessing to me. I have made wonderful friends and have enjoyed every single meeting and activity. Our small group this semester has been so much fun and we have really loved getting to know each other.
In March, we got a new member... Juli had just moved to The Woodlands and she was six months pregnant with her third baby. She fit right in! Well, when we suggested a girl's night out/diaper shower for her, she said we didn't have to do that. I felt like it was me a year ago saying the exact same thing.
Pay it forward.
