Mommy's BIG Weekend!

Wow, I'm a slacker. I really meant to do this blog on Monday and yet, it's already Thursday. Time flies.

Anyway, on to my big weekend! It all started on Friday afternoon... with me picking up my NEW CAR! (that totally sounded like Bob Barker in my head) Yes, I got a new Buick Enclave. It is our "family vehicle". Lots of room, lots of bells and whistles and just all around a lot better than the ole Santa Fe. I love it.

So, I have this new car.... got to get it on the road, right? That's exactly what I did. Saturday morning I hopped in that baby and took off. I was all alone with my new car and my "roadtrip" playlist... on my way to Dallas. I met up with Tracy and Maren at the W hotel for a fantastic 24 hours.

Here's how the weekend went:

Talking. Spa. Talking. Attempt at a nap. No nap, due to talking. Watching Sex and the City. Talking. Open champagne. Talking. Get ready for dinner. Talking. Dinner. Talking. Crazy dance club. Leaving crazy dance club, because we can't talk. Talking. Drinks. Talking. BED. Awake at six am. More talking.

You get the drift. It was a great, great time. We talked about the old days, we talked about our kids, we talked about the future. We talked about the fact that we should be sleeping in since we aren't with our kids... you would think at that point, we would STOP talking and sleep. Nope.

Did I mention that we are OLD ladies now??? When we get together, we try to act like we did in college... except, we just can't hang like we used to. In the old days, we would have stayed out until at least 2am. We somehow lasted until midnight and were proud of ourselves.

I LOVE getting to spend time with my best friends. It would be easy to just "say" that we are going to get together and then not do it. I'm so proud of us that we did make a plan and followed through. It's what good girlfriends do! I can't wait until our next adventure!

Oh, and I want to publicly thank Clark. Not only did he get me a new car, he let me leave in it! Really, he knows my girlfriends are important to me and he had no problem letting me take off for a little girl time. Nanna and Bubba came here to help him with the kids. All in all, I think everyone had a great weekend!
