Kindergarten (and Pre-K), Here We Come!

Back to school time and this year my children seem WAY too grown up!!!!  Walker started kindergarten and Everly is in Pre-K.

They were both soooooo excited about their first day!!!  As usual, I have way too many pictures, but they're just too cute to not share!

We really love PDS and I'm so thankful that my kids are so excited to be there.  Everly has Walker's teacher from last year, Ms. Jeanne:

And, Walker's teacher is Mrs. Fox:

They both have friends in their class and have really enjoyed the last two days.  We are off on Fridays and they were sad to not go to school today!  That's a great sign for the year to come.

Walker is very excited to learn to tie his shoes and to learn to read!! It's the beginning of a great school adventure!

Puppy School Graduates

Elsa and Anna are graduates!  We did an eight-week course and Petsmart and they passed with flying colors.

I'm not saying they are perfect, but they are pretty darn good puppies.  They know many commands, including sit, stay and "on your bed".

I'm very happy we did the course and have great tools to continue to make them great dogs!

I know a couple of kids who are super proud of their graduate pups!!!

Date with the Boy!

As most of you know, I'm a fan of getting a little alone time with the babes.  So, we had one last hurrah with Walker before he starts kindergarten.  So, Everly went for some alone time with Bunny and RayRay.

This was her all day, "is Bunny about to pick me up?":

I love that she was so excited.

So, Clark and I took Walker out on the town!  His first time bowling!

It's amazing how quickly he picked it up.  He looked so grown up going over grabbing his ball, marching up, swinging it and throwing it down the lane!

The three of us had a great time!

Love date night with our kids!

A Special Birthday

Today is Ryder's 11th birthday!  Wow!  We are so excited that we got to celebrate with him while were at the beach.

We went to the Rainforest Cafe and he got the fancy volcano dessert!

It was a fun night:

A yummy dinner followed by mini golf!

It's really fun to get to spend some good quality time with Ryder!

I'm so thankful that the whole Wood family welcomed Ryder with open arms and treated him as one of their own.  It was super fun to have him, not only with Walker and Everly, but all the cousins.  I think everyone had a blast!!

**side note - I've back dated several blog posts from our beach vacation, so they are now below the post I wrote a few days ago!  Finally…. caught up!

We Interrupt This Program….

… taking a quick break from studying for our big football draft.  Yes, I've been doing that instead of blogging.  So sorry.  (But, did you know that football is almost back!? Hooray!)

Yes, I realize that it's been a month since I blogged. It's been a wonderful August, including a great beach trip.  I promise to give many more details soon, but right now Clark and I need to get through this  draft.  I promise to be back soon!

In the meantime, here are some adorable pictures:

See you soon, WoodWords!

Professional Photographer?

I am not a professional photographer.  I'm not even a good amateur photographer.  But, I do have a good camera!

One night during our beach vacation, we got dressed up and went out at sunset to get some pictures.  I'm happy we have that good camera!  We got some great photos.

I realize that there are a lot, with very little commentary, but I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Fun in the Pool

I'm going to admit it…. I really don't know how to organize/blog about our beach trip.  I'm kind of overwhelmed.  We had such a great time and have SO many pictures!  So, I'm just going to do what comes to me.

Starting with this…. fun at the pool!

The condos had a couple of great pools.  It's nice to take a dip after being on the beach!  The kids had a ball swimming with Aidan.

And, just because this picture cracks me up….

Ha!  She's so funny.

One night, Nanna and Bubba took us all out for dinner.  We had fun taking some "sunset" pictures after:

It was a bit bright!  More pictures to come!!!!!
