Christmas Cookies

Wow, I really have this lovely idea in my head.... We make beautiful Christmas cookies that we can all be proud of.... ummm, that's not happening.  We tried, but the shapes don't come out and the kids LOVE a lot of sprinkles.

Bottom line, Santa loved his cookies, so that's all that matters.

Here's our process!

Ms. Gayle's Christmas

Walker and Everly were overjoyed that Ms. Gayle made a special visit to bring them presents!

Ms. Gayle knows I don't love crafts.... this is one of the many reasons I love Ms. Gayle... she always does wonderful, fun things when she keeps my kids.  She brought them dry erase boards, markers, construction paper, colored pencils, crayons, drawing pads... you name it!

We are so thankful to have Ms. Gayle in our lives!  And, not just because she helps me in the craft area.... but, because she loves my babes as if they were her own!  And, we love her!

Christmas Begins

The holidays were fast and furious!  We did so much in such a short time!  I'll start with the weekend before Christmas.  Carson and Ryder came down and Ryder spent the first night with us.

There's an amazing house in Conroe.... tons of lights set to music.  We had a great time checking it out!

The next day we were off to Bunny and RayRay's to celebrate!

The babes were so cute with all their presents.

I love this one of Carson with Bunny and Gabby!

And, I have to include this one....

I'm so happy I got a shot of that expression.  Every time Everly opened a present, she said, "Oh my GOODNESS" in the sweetest little voice.  She was so excited by everything!

After we opened presents, Debra came over for a visit.  She's so wonderful with my children and especially wonderful with Carson.  We are so glad our sweet friend came over!

And, I have to include this one... Debra has called Walker her boyfriend forever. And, Walker always refers to her as his girlfriend.....

They are so precious!

Pepaw and Maggie came over and we all played some games and had a great day!

My babes were pooped....

A perfect start to Christmas!!!!

Santa's Wonderland

We made our first trip to Santa's Wonderland.  Such fun!!!!  Tons of lights, hayride, music... what else could you ask for?!

We met up with Daniel and his family.... wow, did these two have fun together!

They laughed and laughed.  So fun to see.

The girls had fun, too:

My sweet little gal.

And, a pretty good family photo!

We learned that we need to leave a little earlier to avoid traffic and to get a real parking spot.  We will be experts next year.  I'm already excited!

Just for Fun

We continued the holiday season with yet another party!  Clark was hunting, but Walker and Everly and I went to our neighbors house for some fun!

I thought this picture was too cute to not share!

And, one with mommy:

Such a fun time of year!

Christmas Program

We love our new preschool.  They did the cutest little Christmas program.  Walker and Everly both participated.

Everly was cute with all her little motions!

Now, every time she hears Santa Claus is Coming to Town, she swings her hands in the air!

And, Walker was an excellent little wise man.

They were so excited that Nanna and Bunny and RayRay came to watch.

The next week, they both had parties in their class and finished school on Wednesday.  It's nice to have a fun little Christmas break!!!!

Party Animals

I bet you think the kids are the party animals.... nope!  It's the adults.  We just went on three date nights in a row!  Wild, I tell ya!

I dropped some pretty big hints that I really wanted the Justin Timberlake concert to be my Christmas present this year.  Clark listened!!!!

He bought the tickets AND talked to Bunny RayRay about keeping the kids!  A date night where I planned nothing.... so fun.

I was so excited all day...... pumped to finally be on our way!

I'm very happy to report.... the concert was fantastic!  A fabulous present, considering I loved every single minute of his three hour concert.  Yes, he sang for three hours.

I don't do many concerts... it's amazing to see what goes into these major productions.  Here, you can tell how cool it all was (and where our seats were).

But, then the stage moved and JT was right in front of us!

So cool.  Clark and I had long conversations about JT and if he's the Michael Jackson of our generation.  His songs aren't as good as MJ, but he's, no doubt, just as good as a performer.  He never stopped dancing, played the piano and the guitar.  We were impressed.

We didn't get home until 1:00 am!  While we were off enjoying ourselves, Bunny and RayRay kept the babes entertained.

They made cookies! And, the next morning, (after breakfast) delivered them to some very nice firemen!

I think everyone enjoyed it!!!!!  The next night, Clark and I went to his company party.  It was in the Woodlands this year.... so nice.

We followed that up with a neighborhood party.... whew!  Three nights in a row made us tired!  But, it sure was fun.  We are so blessed to have family and a couple of great babysitters that make nights like these possible!
