Walker's First Christmas Part 2

It's time to continue with our fun Christmas festivities! We went to Lufkin on Christmas Day to celebrate with the Wood side.

Walker was adorable, as usual:

He got lots of really fun presents and had a great time playing with all his cousins:

And, playing with Bubba:

And, playing basketball:

And, learning to walk:

And, being a little elf with Nanna:

On my side, Walker ends up with TCU gear... on Clark's side, he ends up reading about Texas tailgating food!

More fun with Aidan... showing off his touchdown trick:

Nanna and Bubba and most of the grandkids:

Walker with his great-grandmother, Mama Ru:

Again, I find myself loading tons of pictures with very little commentary... not my favorite thing to do, but with events as big and exciting as Walker's first Christmas, I guess it's better to let the pictures tell the story!

I think he loved every minute of it! And, we definitely did. Like I said before... Christmas with a child is so much more fun!!!!!

Walker's First Christmas

Two apologies... #1, sorry for the lack of blogging. #2, sorry for the huge number of pictures today. #2 explains #1. We've been busy.

This holiday season has been a whirlwind. Lots of family time and lots of fun. And, it's official... Christmas is more fun with a child!

Our first family Christmas was at our house with the Snow side:

Walker had a great time with his cousins Savannah, Carson and Ryder.

And, he enjoyed a few laughs with his great-grandmother, Memaw.

Then, the next day we went to Bentwater to celebrate with Bunny and RayRay.

I think Walker is ready for the Fiesta Bowl! And, so is his cousin, Ryder! Go Frogs.

Okay, next celebration... back to our house for Christmas Eve with Bunny and RayRay and Frosty and Linda.

And, of course, Walker's first Christmas morning!

I really don't like to add so many pictures with such little commentary to one blog, but oh well! And, get this... I'm not even done yet. We are in Lufkin right now, so I'll add another blog with the Wood side celebration soon!

(oh, and a side note... Clark and I got a new camera and it is fantastic, therefore I have lots more pictures to go through because we can't stop taking pictures!!!)

Touchdown!

As we all know this college football season has been FABULOUS for the Wood house. The Longhorns and Horned Frogs are undefeated, one team is playing for the national championship and the other still gets a good bowl. (Not a good opponent, but I won't get into that right now)

Anyway, I attribute this fabulous football season to our amazing son. I mean seriously, he's only been alive for one season and look what has happened!

So, today is a day of mourning in our house... a Saturday with no college football. Distressing. The bowls are great, but we have to wait for them... and, we don't get 20 games in one day. That's what we like around here.

But, here's a video of Walker to cheer us up and prove that he is our son.

Mr. Silly

Walker cracks us up. Seriously, his little personality grows each and every day and he just makes us laugh!

I'm not sure where this came from:

Tonight he decided he'd rather have his socks in his mouth instead of on his feet. He thought he was pretty hilarious.

What else does he find hilarious? Rolling over and crawling away while getting his diaper changed. It has become a two person job... one has to hold him down while the other attempts to get a new diaper on. Well, Clark and I did our best tonight, but this is what it looked like:

Have you ever seen a cuter little butt cheek?!?! The shocking thing... he actually stayed dry!

Walker's First Snow

I figured Walker wouldn't see snow until we decided to take him to Colorado or Utah or some other exotic ski place. But, our little 10-month old got to see snow... in Conroe... in early December! So fun.

You can't tell because the camera didn't seem to pick it up, but it was really coming down. I figured Walker would be indifferent to it, but he loved it! He kept sticking out his tongue to eat it!

We'll see how long it lasts... if we get more good pictures, I'll posted Walker's First Snow Part 2!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I've always LOVED Christmas. Everything about it. Decorating (my house has been done for over a week), shopping and buying gifts, Christmas music, Christmas movies... I could go on and on.

So, you can imagine how exciting it is for me to have a child this year! Yes, I know he doesn't exactly understand it all yet, but it's still so much fun!!!

Yesterday, Walker and I spent the day at Bentwater (Daddy was away hunting). After watching my Horned Frogs finish the regular season 12-0, Bunny and I took Walker to the Christmas festival. How fun! Again, he isn't quite old enough to appreciate the excitement, but we were! Kids playing in real snow, games, hot chocolate, cookies, a train, a CAMEL to ride and of course, SANTA!!!

Look at my sweet boy hanging with Mr. Claus for the very first time:

He wasn't scared at all! And, check out those red coveralls. Okay, I know I'm biased, but Walker in Christmas clothing.... darn cute!

What a fun way to start the Christmas season!

So Much to be Thankful For!

I'm thankful everyday for the two men in my life, but on this day of Thanksgiving, I feel especially blessed.

2009 has been an amazing year and I can't believe how much has happened. Walker is more fun each and every day. He's the best baby in the world and I know he will be a great big brother.

Clark became his company's principal financial officer and is doing fantastic job at Nabors.

I became a stay at home mom and don't miss working at all.

We found a church home.

As good as 2009 has been, I can't help but look forward to 2010. With amazing family and friends around us, I know I will look back next year at Thanksgiving and be just as thankful as I am today!

Walker enjoyed his first Thanksgiving feast today. He enjoyed turkey, dressing, green beans and rolls!

And, you gotta love enjoying Thanksgiving on a farm. After lunch... a hay ride!!

Walker has been such a ham lately... I wanted to include a few more pictures from the last week. I'm telling ya, this kid is fun!
