Swimming, Playing and Laughing

This post is long overdue... OVER a week ago, the entire Wood clan came to Conroe to visit. We had such fun and I wanted to share some pictures!

All the cousins did lots and lots of swimming!

It's so great to see people enjoy our pool! I've never seen so many fun toys in the water. With this heat, I'm thankful we have it for a fun activity!

Walker loves to laugh at Aidan and had a blast playing with him.

And, Mama Ru got to enjoy all six of her GREAT grandchilden! The latest two arrived around two weeks apart.

I love this one... Bubba with Walker and Aunt Linda with her grandbaby Brooke.

This is one of my favorites... Walker was so relaxed with Nanna... he decided to take a nap!

It was a really great weekend and a wonderful way to spend Father's Day. Walker loves all his cousins... soon he'll be following them all around trying to do everything just like them!

A little side note... Walker went to the doctor this week, and is growing like a weed. He's now 14 pounds 13 ounces and 26 inches long!

Little Longhorn

I can't believe I willingly titled this post "Little Longhorn". There's something wrong with me.
But, Walker is a little longhorn tonight.

Texas is playing for the National Championship tonight... blah blah blah. How is it that Texas always finds their way into these games?!?! Oh wait, they beat my Horned Frogs in order to get to Omaha... that's how they find their way into these big games.

Tonight I was reminded of one of my very first blogs, many months before Walker was born. Clark was painting the little man room... while the Longhorns were playing football... on tv!
Tonight the Longhorns are on tv again... playing for a silly national championship and what was Clark doing:

Reading to his baby! So sweet!

On a side note... it's not looking good for the Horns... down 10-4 in the 8th. But, I would never count them out... they always seem to find a way to win.

Happy Father's Day!

I'm not going to be super sappy, but I have to say that I am soooooo happy that Clark is the father of my son. I knew he would be a good daddy, but seeing him with Walker brings me joy. Watching Clark love his son is almost as fun as loving him myself.

I am thankful that I ended up with such a caring and calm person to parent with... Clark really is amazing and I am so thankful to be blessed with such a wonderful family!

Walker also has great role models in his grandfathers!

Happy Father's Day to all the great men in our lives!

Shake, Rattle & Roll

Okay, so this is 30 seconds of basic silliness, but Clark and I found it pretty cute!

I guess the title should just be Shake & Rattle. There wasn't a roll!

And, I have to add one more photo...

We didn't tell Remy she couldn't get on Walker's blanket... she just wanted to stay on the edge! As I've said before... she doesn't love Walker, but she does feel the need to protect him! Such a sweet puppy.

Sitting Up!

It's been a week since my last post. Sorry for the delay. First of all, Clark made it home from Budapest. Walker was thrilled to see him. That made him very happy!

Second, Walker is hitting another milestone!

Yep, that's our little monkey sitting up on his own! But, I will add a little disclaimer... Clark let go of him about a half a second before this picture was taken and then had his hands back on him a second after that! But, still... he's getting there. I can't believe how fast Walker is doing new things. It really is amazing!

I'm sure I'll have video posted of Walker crawling before we know it!

Joe T's... TCU... Grand Prairie... Check, Check, Check!

My little traveler got to go to some of Mommy's favorite places this week. Clark left the country, so I decided to leave Conroe and take Walker on his second road trip.

It was great fun to show him Fort Worth and GP. We took lots and lots of pictures, so I'll warn you ahead of time... this post will be full of photos. It's the best way to describe all the fun!
We hung out with Tracy and Maren:

And, Walker is already practicing his lady killer instincts... flirting with Maren's girls... Nola and Alex:

The last time I got to go to Joe T's was for my baby shower... he was with me, but he's a little more fun now!

Then, we had to make a quick stop at the TCU campus. You see, I couldn't let Clark get ahead of me... I was afraid that Clark was brainwashing Walker into UT (Walker wears lots of burnt orange and has already seen the tower), so I had to make sure to get him a taste of the Horned Frog purple:

And, our little trip wasn't done yet... we went to Grand Prairie to see Walker's cousins! He had so much fun! Savannah hadn't met him in person until today... I think she liked him!

Whew, it was quite a little trip... as always, Walker was great. Slept great, traveled in the car great and was his usual happy self! We had a great time, but missed Clark a lot.

Cereal: Yum Yum!

Who's tired of seeing pictures of Walker's milestones? I hope nobody raised their hand and said, "oh me, I'm so sick of seeing new pictures."

If you did... please stop reading now. Because we must show pictures of Walker's first cereal!

But, I have to put a disclaimer. I'm actually going to post pictures of Walker's SECOND cereal. I'm afraid if I publish pictures of his FIRST cereal I will get a call from child protective services, because he was REALLY unhappy!

We were afraid he just wouldn't want to eat...

Not the case... he loves it! The first time fit was just a fluke!

And, just because he's so darn cute, here are some more pictures from the last few days!
