Fun at Frosty & Linda's

The best part about Austin, we get to see so much family!  After our Memaw visit and our UT visit, we went to Frosty and Linda's!

Great food, great champagne and great company!  And, it turns out… great light.  We took advantage and got some pictures:

And, since it was just a week before some birthdays, we celebrated.  Me and my namesake!!!!!

(That cake says "Happy Birthday Darlenes" ha!)

It was a great little getaway and we all had a really fun time!

The 40 Acres

So, if we are in Austin, you know what that means!  Clark getting to show his kids his version of the motherland.

Enter the huge Longhorn!

They loved exploring the campus…

And, we taught them about the Capitol.

And, of course…. a picture in the front of the tower!!!

And, for a fun flashback…. to the first time Clark took his boy to see the tower!

(Oh my goodness…. I can't believe our big six year old was so small!)

It was a great little UT visit, and, bonus, we spent a lot of time and $$$ in the bookstore!  Success!

A Trip to See Memaw

At the end of our spring break, we took off toward Austin.  Perfect little getaway and a chance for us to see Memaw.  It had been way too long!

The kids think the luggage cart is the most fun part of vacation!

I was thrilled to get to visit with Memaw.  She just turned 91!  And, I think she enjoyed getting to see the babes.

She, of course, we quick to comment on how much Walker looks like Googie.  That is, no doubt, a common theme with my family.

She gets tired quickly and hasn't felt great lately, so it was a quick visit, but so great to see her!

We have lots of wonderful memories and it's always fun to talk about them!

A Soggy Spring Break

Spring Break = big excitement.  Because…. Ryder came to town!  AND, because we went to the farm and got to see ALL the cousins.

Little cuties on the way:

Unfortunately, it rained almost the entire time we were in Lufkin.  Thankfully, we got a little jumping in soon after we arrived.

Nanna had a kid table this year.  These six kids enjoyed their freedom!  And, the adults enjoying listening in on their conversations.  They are hilarious.

Since it was raining, the boys went up to the FLC and played basketball:

And, the girls went and had a little tea party!

Nanna brought sweet little teacups and we all enjoyed teacakes and Everly had a pink cupcake.  It was a great way to get out of the rain!

We came back to Conroe and still had to deal with the rain.  So, we went to Pump It Up!

All three babes seemed to enjoy running, jumping and sliding.  They were able to blow off some energy and have some fun.

And, I have to include this picture:

Walker and Everly love Ryder so much.  And, the feeling is mutual.  I just love the way she's laying on him.  Too cute.

And, I also want to include this funny story.  Ryder was catching up on WoodWords.  And, after reading a few blogs that included him, he said, "I think people who read your blog like it when I'm in it. I'm not in all of them, but when I show up, I bet those blogs are their favorite. I'm like the good character that everyone loves!" How precious. And, I'm sure he's right!

Yes, it was soggy, but we had a great Spring Break!

Tball Time Again!

It is officially Tball season!  Yay!  The boys have improved and are starting to really understand the game.  It is really, really fun to watch!

Walker was sick and had to miss the first game.  Oh my, was he disappointed.  But, thankfully, there was another game two days later.  He was still a little under the weather, but he toughed it out!

He played a great game and had a couple of awesome stops at third base.  Which resulted in….

… Walker getting the game ball!  He was so excited and proud. And, we are, of course, so proud of him!

Go Dodgers!!!!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

So, Kindergarten has proved to be a wonderful experience for Walker.  I can't even begin to explain how much he's learned and grown, so far, this year.  At the beginning of the year, Mrs. Fox asked us if there was anything specific she should know or work on with our children.  I told her how shy Walker was.  Not that this was a bad thing, but I was a bit concerned that he might not speak up for himself if other kids were being ugly, etc.  So, Mrs. Fox made sure to help Walker come out of his shell.  Wow, has she succeeded.

The two kindergarten classes have been working on their Goldilocks and the Three Bears play for awhile.  Yesterday (the day before the performance), they found out Hudson (one of Walker's best buddies') couldn't be in the play.  Turns out Papa Bear had pneumonia!  Well, the class was discussing it and Walker raised his hand and said, "I'll do it!  I WANT to be Papa Bear!" So, off they went to dress rehearsal and he apparently knew every single line!

Today was the actual performance.  And, Papa Bear was FANTASTIC!  I'm so proud of the fact that he stepped up and handled this situation so well!

Here are some great pics:

Here's the whole cast.  Aren't they so cute!

And, a good look at my adorable Papa Bear:

Bunny came to see the performance:

One very proud mama:

"Someone's been eating my porridge."

Here's the amazing Mrs. Fox.  What a blessing she has been.

And, our little heartbreaker with the girls.  He LOVES Reese and Andy.

Such little cuties.

I think I say it a lot, but I love this stage of parenting.  Walker is such a joy and it is so exciting to see him learn and grow.  We couldn't be more proud!

Just for Fun

I have a few pictures to share, so this is just a fun post!

First, it's official, these two dogs belong to DADDY!!!  They love him more than anyone else in the house.

Silly girl…. cupcake costume and all.

Tball season is upon us, once again!  We are thankful for some nice weekends to practice!

Clark decided to sit outside in the gorgeous weather.  The kids were very interested in why he wasn't coming inside!  This picture cracks me up!

And, one more picture of outside fun.  They thought it was quite fabulous blowing bubbles into the pool!
