Fun Friends

Walker started using the term "friends" on this trip.  He referred to characters and toys that way.  So, you never know who you will run into on the ship....

Everly's friend, Minnie!

Bunny and RayRay are definitely friends!

Walker lining up all his "friends".  Thanks Bunny!

Playtime Together!

Since Everly isn't three yet, she wasn't allowed in the "club" where Walker got to go play.  The good news, they had some open house time where she got to play with him.

She was all about the big slide!

Climbing!

They love playing together.

Sliding!

I bet they went up and down a hundred times!

Dressing for Dinner

"Formal" night on a Disney ship isn't exactly formal, but we did still take the opportunity to dress up one night.  And, I'm so glad.  Because I got this picture:

They are so sweet!

Smiley family.

Love my precious family!
I also need to point out... the kids were fantastic at mealtime.  They ate great and were so well behaved.  It made me realize... they aren't babies anymore.  It's amazing how grown up they were on this trip!!!!!

Tea with Alice

Mom and I have always been a fan of high tea.  So, when we heard that Alice would be having a tea party on the ship, we decided we must take the kids!

They were a little young, but they still enjoyed seeing Alice and the Mad Hatter and learning some good manners!!!

Everly enjoyed the cookie and tea!

Smiles and cookies with Bunny.

I hope this is the first of many high teas with my baby girl!

Breakfast With Mickey!

What a great first morning on the Disney Magic.... breakfast with Mickey and the gang!  In typical Walker and Everly fashion.... he was timid and shy and she was ready to party!

And, what a great way to start... Minnie came first!!!!

She was so happy to see Minnie.
Have I mentioned shy????
Pluto!
You can't tell it, but Walker really liked Chip and Dale.
Walker also really likes Mickey waffles!!!
A family shot with Mickey!  Everly never let go of his hand!
Yay for Goofy!
I love this face.  She was sooooo excited.
Everyone gets a chance to have breakfast with the characters, but I'm glad we got the first morning.  It was a perfect way to get used to seeing all our Disney friends.

Can you believe I didn't get a picture of anybody with Bunny and RayRay.  Silly me.

Disney Magic - Day One

We booked our Disney cruise over a year ago, so it was so exciting when the day finally arrived to get on the ship!

Walker and Everly were very excited to see the big boat!  In fact, they needed new awesome glasses to see it better.

Him - Toy Story, Her - Princesses
I bought these sunglasses months ago.... just waiting for cruise day to give them to the babes.  They like them!

Traveling to and from Galveston was a breeze.  Great way to take a big vacation.

Up on the deck.

Mickey and Minnie and the gang are on the boat!

I think they were overwhelmed!
The kids had a great time exploring the ship.  It only took a couple of times before Walker and Everly could run right to our room.  It's amazing how fast they can get used to something.

One thing that was a surprise to them:

... You never know when you are going to run into somebody fabulous!  We ran into Goofy right off the bat.   They really didn't know what to think!

I don't have pictures of our first dinner, but it was really fun.  Mickey made a run through the dining room and both Walker and Everly were captivated.  There's no question, Disney knows how to make things super fun for the little ones!!!!

Disney Cruise Quick Takes

We got back from a fantastic family vacation a few days ago.  I need to blog about it.  Every time I think about starting a blog, I stop.  There's just too much.  Seven days.  Hundreds of pictures.  LOTS of good stories.  So, I've decided to break it down.  I'll start with quick takes, then move on to a day or two at a time.  Maybe that will make it less overwhelming.  For me and you!

So, here are my quick takes:

1.  Cruising out of Galveston is fantastic.  No airport and no worries.  I'm a fan.
2.  The Disney Magic is magical.  I'm a fan of the ship, especially our suite.
3.  You never know when you will run into a Disney character.  That's really fun.
4.  Speaking of characters.... in the beginning, Everly loved everyone and Walker was timid about them.  By the end, they had switched.  Walker was very brave and Everly got shy.
5.  Bunny and RayRay were a huge help and excellent traveling companions.
6.  RayRay was jealous of our suite.  He made sure to let us know that, a lot.
7.  Walker isn't a fan of turtles.  He is a fan of dolphins.  I was so proud of my brave boy!
8.  The kids loved the beach.
9.  Everly calls herself a princess.... all the time.  And, of course, she is a princess.
10.  We have been home for four days and I'm still experiencing "post cruise vertigo".  I'm not a fan.

More to come!
